Worst. Apartheid. Ever.
They called it apartheid. The ballot box called them liars. Arab and Muslim parties are winning 17 seats in Israel’s parliament, the Knesset. Arab turnout was above 70% in town after town. Wait, I thought Zionists were racist, so how come these “racists” are giving parliamentary seats to Arabs and Muslims, who, in turn, came out to vote? Some villages hit 90% turnout.
They democratically participated and voted in a Zionist democratic system they believe in?
Arabs now hold about 14% of Israel’s parliament. Muslim MPs hold about 4% of Britain’s. Odd kind of apartheid, where the “oppressed” vote harder than London does.

How rude and racist to notice
El-Sayed appeared with Cenk on a panel last month hosted by the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Brotherhood-linked group.
There were a couple of other 9/11 truthers there, too.

"This ad is not affiliated with Abdul's campaign"
Except that it mirrors Abdul's own language exactly - blaming Israel and the Jews for rising grocery costs and "affordability issues."
That's why he didn't condemn or disown it - he said the same things LAST WEEK.
El-Sayed campaign statement: "This ad is not affiliated in any way with the Abdul for Senate campaign. Abdul is focused on pushing back against Trump’s agenda that is raising prices for Michiganders. No one speaks for Abdul but himself and his campaign." #MISEN

Maybe the guys who endorsed and backed an abusive Nazi don't have the best ideas on what is in the best interests of Jews, much less demanding a moral obligation from them.

I mean Cenk is dumb and a bigot. Everyone knows this. But this ad is dumb and bigoted at scale. It’s innumerate and morally obtuse and if anything remotely like it was aimed at Muslims he and his ilk would (defensibly) be outraged. But this shit is fine when aimed at the you know who.
New @RebellionPac ad dropping in Michigan. We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers. He promised to serve Israel “unconditionally,” but never made that promise to you.
Let me introduce you to a fellow named Max Naumann.
In 1934, Naumann, a German Jew, urged fellow Jews to support Adolf Hitler. He defended the Nazi regime even as it persecuted Jews, and actually petitioned Hitler for the right of Jews to fly the German flag.
In 1935, the Gestapo dissolved his organization and threw him in prison, where he attempted suicide. He died of cancer in 1939, before the Holocaust, but not before discovering how little his loyalty to the Nazis was worth.
I'm not comparing Abdul El-Sayed to Hitler. I'm questioning the idea that a Jewish endorsement is, by itself, evidence of what's best for Jewish safety.
From the Hellenizing Jewish elites of ancient Jerusalem to Jewish supporters of Iran's Islamic Revolution, we have examples throughout our history of Jews aligning themselves with political movements that ultimately turned against them.
Their motivations differed, as did the consequences. But there's a lesson in Max Naumann's story that's worth remembering.
Being Jewish has never made anyone immune to being catastrophically wrong about what's good for Jews.

We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected, where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority can’t just decide that some people don’t deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom we’ve found in America didn’t happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too.
We know what happens when those protections start to break down. When courts are weakened, elections are undermined, and people lose equal protection under the law, minorities are often the first to pay the price. Jews have seen this throughout our history. It’s one of the reasons so many of our families sought refuge in democratic countries.
That’s why I find it so alarming to see what’s happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they’re safe from what comes next.
Mike Rogers has chosen to align himself with a movement that is willing to attack our democracy. He stood with Trump and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election. And now we’re seeing what happens when a political movement treats the rights and dignity of certain people as disposable. For Jews, these things should set off alarm bells.
Jewish safety is tied to the health of our democracy. We can’t protect one without protecting the other. And in this Senate race, Abdul is the candidate who understands that and is willing to fight for it.

I worked for Obama twice. I ran for Congress as a Democrat.
Now I’m called a traitor for refusing to give every Democrat my vote.
I’m raising a Jewish daughter. Her safety matters more to me than party loyalty.
If that bothers you, ask yourself why.

Why are they protesting Seinfeld? Because he is part of the government of #Israel? Well, he’s not. It’s simply because he’s #Jewish. Hint: there is a word for that. (And it’s not anti-Zionism)
Call these protests what they really are.

It’s not Islamophobic to ask questions about Abdul El-Sayed’s extensive connections to radicals and terrorist supporters. Or to note that he has made excuses for such radicalization.
It’s Islamophobic to pretend that such connections are normal for most American Muslims.

This is really interesting. Interviews with El-Sayed are both useless and extremely revealing. By asking simple, straightforward questions, @bretbaier helped viewers see and understand how El-Sayed works.
WOW this exchange.
@BretBaier tried to give Abdul El-Sayed a chance to finally explain the 2012 letter in support of the Muslim Brotherhood and Abdul awkwardly tries to speak over him.
This flailing defensiveness is why we’re on week 3 on this issue.

Jeff Bezos (@JeffBezos) picked one founder to explain how a single restaurant turns into a billionaire: Todd Graves (@ToddGraves) of Raising Cane's (@raisingcanes).
The early version of that story runs on pure self-belief:
▫️ His chicken-fingers-only business plan got the lowest grade in an LSU business class
▫️ Every bank he pitched turned him down
▫️ He worked 90-hour weeks as a boilermaker at an LA oil refinery, then fished sockeye salmon in Alaska on 20-hour days to raise the money
▫️ The first Cane's opened near LSU on August 28, 1996, and stayed open until 3:30 a.m.
▫️ Today the chain runs nearly 1,000 restaurants and Forbes puts his net worth at $20B
The professor graded the plan. The customers graded the founder.

Ben Horowitz (@bhorowitz) has a simple message for every founder who has ever questioned the bet.
"Congratulations on betting on yourself. Your job is to make your bet pay off."
▫️ The doubts are going to be there. The heaviest ones come from inside your own head.
▫️ He spent a lot of time with Mark Zuckerberg at 22, and even Zuck had tremendous doubt about whether Facebook would make it.
His answer is to move your attention from feelings to actions.
"Just focus on what you do. You're going to feel scared."
Feeling scared is part of the job. Keep going.

Shameful news out of Georgetown Law.
New from me: Georgetown Law’s Student Bar Association passed a resolution this week condemning a Jewish attorney on Sen. Ted Cruz’s staff and accusing her of Islamophobia after she appeared on campus to discuss the Muslim Brotherhood and her work representing victims of terrorism.
Erielle Azerrad, Cruz's deputy chief counsel, spoke to students about the Brotherhood’s origins and how the group had expanded its operations in the US. She also noted the Muslim Students Association’s ties to the Brotherhood, though she disputed that such ties meant all Muslim students, or even all MSA members, were connected to the terrorist group.
The resolution accused Azerrad of promoting "Islamophobic beliefs and conspiracy theories" at the event and having a "well-documented record of false, bigoted, and harmful anti-Muslim rhetoric."
