Every gun that I purchase is one less gun that could potentially go into the hands of a criminal.
In a way, I am a hero.

Just a reminder that it鈥檚 normal to drive your car until it dies, cook dinner most nights, live in a smaller home, pack your lunch, keep your phone until it stops working, buy used before buying new, make coffee at home, and wear the same clothes for years.

The City of San Diego increased spending on homeless programs by 11X in the past ten years to $110M annually but homeless counts only got worse.
On enforcement, just 48 out of over 1,100 police contacts for illegal tent encampments resulted in an arraignment.
So with programs that don鈥檛 require a change in lifestyle and enforcement without meaningful consequences, it shouldn鈥檛 be a surprise that spending on homeless programs is increasing while outcomes are not improving.
Cities have a dual responsibility: 1) connect those that want help, with temporary assistance and 2) maintain clean and safe public spaces for everyone else.
Refusing help should not grant anyone the right to violate all other laws.
The good news is that help is available to those that want it. The bad news is that the city鈥檚 current approach is enabling the problem, rather than solving it.

The moral case for capitalism is that your life belongs to you. Your work, your savings and your plans don鈥檛 become somebody else鈥檚 property because they have a moving speech about how they鈥檇 use them.

Imagine a life so blessed that you get to read great books, exercise with intensity, go for walks at sunset, spend time with your family, and cook the food you love.
You already have that life. Start living it.

NEVER try to make people like you.
You could LITERALLY build a flying car and donate $10 billion to children, and people will STILL find ways to shit on you.
Just be you.
DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK!
