The first open vision language model for quantum calibration.
The future of autonomous quantum labs starts here.
Proud to have achieved this with @nvidia, @QCHardware and other collaborators.
Let's go @conductorquant 🚀🚀🚀
We're proud to have collaborated with @nvidia and @QCHardware on the release of NVIDIA Ising Calibration, the first open Vision Language Model for quantum calibration.
Together with EeroQ, we used it to build a working proof of concept for an autonomous quantum computing lab. 🧵

Quantum is coast to coast.
Quantum is poised to become a multi-trillion dollar industry in the next few years. We think New Yorkers should share in that profit.
That's why we negotiated that New Yorkers get board seats and a 15% stake of intellectual property that comes out of NYU's Quantum Fabrication facility.
Because all New Yorkers should benefit from the economic success of this city.

Berkeley Sky Deck Quantum Track launch at the new Herst Quantum Nexus.
Go bears 🐻
Go bears.
Even though I'm not a Bears alum, my dad was a post doc at Berkeley when I was a kid and I have a lot of great memories - learning English there, being babysat by some of the greatest physicists in the world while going with my dad to the lab, and then I looped back around after grad school and spent a lot of time in that "quantum alley".
On Tuesday, there was a special celebration to officially launch the SkyDeck Quantum Track and welcome Claire Cramer from UC Berkeley Quantum as the new Quantum Track Chair!
Berkeley already has some of the best quantum startups around, and expanding SkyDeck into quantum and the new track will be amazing to foster the academic x entrepreneurial ecosystem in California. Thanks for the invite!
Yes @GooglQuantumAI. Cooking.
Published in Science today: Magic state cultivation works in practice on our Willow processor. We achieved a 40x error reduction, compared to without cultivation, and 99.99% fidelity. Learn how this addresses a critical resource bottleneck: goo.gle/4yr8V0H

Introducing Expand Fetch, a new way to scrape and crawl the web.
Your agent has never seen the web. No wonder it gets basic questions wrong.
Traditional Markdown APIs lose critical details. So we trained two System one models to change that:
Iris, a vision model that sees pages like you do, preserving tables, icons, and layouts.
X-Ray, a JSON model that uncovers the hidden data behind every page.
Every fetch also comes with a Wayback Machine. Every line links back to its source, so you can verify exactly what your agent saw.
Three products. One API.
On our benchmark of 1,094 questions across 326 challenging web pages, agents using Expand got 74% right. The next best API got 55%.
Available today at $1 per 1,000 fetches.
Try it at expand.ai
It’s still early.
Every time I talk to a banking person, they ask me which quantum company will win, so they can tell their clients where to invest.
I'm not allowed to answer that :D And last week, DARPA declined to answer it too...
On October 7, DARPA advanced Atom Computing, Diraq, IBM and IonQ to Stage C of the Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, joining Microsoft and PsiQuantum. So that's six completely different modalities.
And also, everyone needs to chill out before writing an obituary for the seven Stage B teams that didn't make the October 7 Stage C wave.
Check out the FAQs about DARPA Stage C in my new article.

Don’t discount your destination.
I recently talked with a founder who’s getting ready to fundraise. As we discussed what each of their products could become, it became clear he was underselling the size of the opportunity.
My biggest feedback: go bigger.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. We tend to want to sound reasonable, set expectations we know we can meet, and not get too far out over our skis.
But sometimes that means selling ourselves short.
Counterintuitively, I think people are more likely to get behind you when you’re aiming for something really, really big.
Take up space. Be big and be bold.
