Even with how simple and restricted #DOLLY is, there’s still PLENTY fun to be had.  Intentional or not, this is the most I’ve laughed at a horror movie in recent memory. Not at it. But with it. Best way to experience this is to meet it where it wants to play. Turn your brain, plus ego down a notch… and just roll with it. Similar to how @damienleone approached his first @TerrifierFilm, this feels like a showcase for a hopefully is another new horror icon.  But… the trade off is that there isn’t much of a story to grab onto. All the film’s eggs are in the plot basket, so just know what kind of ride you’re signing up for. At the end of the day, this was made by someone (@rodblackhurst) with a vision that went out and make it happen. Small scaled slashers like this will ALWAYS have my wallet. It’s my way of communicating to Hollywood this is the kind of horror I want more of.  I realize I’m in the camp that’ll probably enjoy this more than most. After all, I am EXACTLY the audience this film was made for. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t put it past me if it builds up a cult following over time.  @Shudder adds another worthwhile flick to their underrated collection!  Go support it in theaters so an expanded sequel can happen.
