Here's a recent interview with Richard Moglen featuring my three top protégés, all of whom work with me every day helping run Minervini Private Access.
Bob Weissman has been with me for more than 20 years and, as many of you know, won the U.S. Investing Championship last year.
Before Mark Richie and Brandon, Hedgepath came to work for me, they were paying MPA customers for 10 years. And in 2010, they came to the very first Master Trader Program.
If you're interested in hearing how they approach the markets, their process, and the lessons they've learned over the years, I think you'll enjoy this conversation.

One of the most important things you can do as a stock trader is to be patient with yourself and allow yourself time to grow. Not all flowers bloom at the same time, and not every journey unfolds on the same schedule. It may take you longer than someone else to develop the skills, discipline, and understanding needed to succeed, but that doesn't mean you're any less capable.
Avoid measuring your progress against others. Everyone learns at a different pace and reaches important milestones at different points in life. Trading is a personal journey, and your timeline is your own.
I know this firsthand because I was a very slow starter. It took me six years before I even became profitable. There were many times when I could have concluded that I simply didn't have what it takes. But persistence, patience, and a commitment to continual improvement made all the difference. Most of all, I knew that those who succeeded were just men like me, and if they did it, then so could I.
So give yourself space and grace. Give yourself time. Stay committed to the process and focus on getting a little better each day.
Above all, be patient with yourself—the big rewards come to those who refuse to quit before their time arrives. If I could do it, so can you.

IMPORTANT ANNCOUNCEMENT!
We are considering staking/seeding a few traders over the coming years in what we are are calling 'seeds to oaks'.
This is equal parts taking a trade all its own (investing in others) as well as a way to give back as what better way then to be sticky capital to those trying to figure this out same as we did years ago.
If you’re interested, please submit your information—including your full name, contact info, background details, strategy, trading history, and any performance metrics (real trading P&L only; no hypothetical results)—to [email protected]. Please note this is an early-stage, beta process, so response times may be very slow to not at all.

Had a really good conversation(s) with my two 18yr old sons yesterday in the wake of Charlie Kirk's murder and felt I should share at least how I'm currently praying as a local church leader. Not my usual so feel free to skip as there won't be ANY market stuff herein and trigger warning if you are anti-faith.
I am and aspire to be a follower of Jesus of Nazareth and I generally try and let my life do the talking (James 2:18) vs my mouth, that being said I have tried to be a real follower of 'the way' (Christian was a derogatory term and has become widely misused and understood in our times, although I definitely am one) since I was roughly 16 and currently an elder/teacher/worship leader at my local church.
There has been a quiet revival going in among youth in the US the last few years. You won't hear about it on the mainstream media but places like Asbury or recently Ohio State are evidence as is actual polling of the younger generation as well as things like bible sales. Faith in Christ is on the rise and guys like Kirk were a part of it. My prayer as a laid down lover of Jesus is that people would cling to him and remember that he asked for forgiveness of the very men who were nailing him to the cross! That is the radical love of God and the only thing that can soften a hard heart.
There was a miracle working rabbi 2000 years ago who came with a message of Gods love and a ministry of healing and a call for repentance. He never harmed anyone (healed many) and only offended the religious/political order of the day. They nailed him to a cross thinking it would kill the movement and it has only grown ever since, they did the same to many of his early followers and to everyones surprise the movement only grew. That is the power of the Gospel.
His kingdom isn't about politics as those things come & go but about ruling & reigning in human hearts (Luke 17:20-21). What if we came in the opposite spirit of the age and adopted what he actually preached on the sermon on the mount? 'Loving your enemies' and 'praying for those who persecute you'. Super hard, but that is what changes a culture and will only accelerate the move of faith that is happening in the youth or anyone growing in their faith.
This is the amazing truth of the Christ centered life, no one can take it from you nor can death, because as Paul said many years ago you can't make laws against the 'fruit of the Spirit' such as love, joy, peace, patience...(Gal 5:22-23).
Be blessed on what is a tough day for many and my heartfelt condolences to anyone feeling real heaviness out there.

GREAT words of wisdom!!!
I’ll be the first to admit—this rally has unfolded with very few stocks truly in buyable position (at least, speaking for my strategy), and for me, the results have been mixed at best. I did manage to latch onto a few nice winners, but the volatility whipped me in and out on a number of names which led to a lack of any real traction and net progress.
But that’s not unusual around a bottom and during the first leg up off a bear market low.
During the COVID recovery, the market shot off the lows, and we didn’t put on our first trade until April 6, 2020—and even then, I didn’t get aggressive for several months. That turned out to be a big year where I was up over 100% and my assistants Mark Ritchie and Brandon Hedgepath were up over 350%.
The 2003 and 2009 recoveries were V-shaped and both led to sustained bull markets that offered many opportunities later in the year.
Back in 1995, the market broke out of a long sideways consolidation (the opposite of a V shape recovery), yet I held back until months after the Dow was already making new all-time highs, due to a lack of stocks offering low risk entry points. That year was one of my largest, up over 400%.
The hallmark of a true professional is patience and consistency—and that boils down to one thing: discipline. If you don’t have the discipline to wait for your pitch, then you’d better get used to striking out. Don't get discouraged if this market has left you in the dust, you're not alone, and it's not unusual. What is unusual for most is rock-solid discipline. And that's why big performance is unusual.
Interesting week as the indexes for the most part are unchanged. I got hit on a couple positions recently such as TGTX and LTH after earnings. Volatility is still high. However I do see some names acting well after earnings such as DAVE, DUOL, HALO. But those names did not have low risk entry points for me to buy the kind of size I want to buy so I did not participate in those names.
Right now my exposure is still light and my attitude is to play small until I get traction then I will ramp up quickly and THAT is where my large returns come from.
SO to say it another way I am not focused on making money right now I am trying to gauge the feedback I am getting from MY BUYS and the stocks on my watch list to know when to start trading larger staying in the Stocks Tactics Feedback loop we talk about regularly at MPA. I am always focused on the process the money will come but right now I can't let the small losses I have taken recently discourage me from reading the market because once that changes I can make A BIG RETURN in a short amount of time.
I hope this is encouraging for some of you who are struggling because you may feel frustrated with the indexes up and you may still be down or flat. That is ok it is still a hard penny environment for the low risk trader.

By far the best thing about "retiring early" is that you don't have to wait 65 years to realize retirement was a sham goal to begin with.
There's a reason prize fighters often go off the rails after lifting the belt.
Or entrepreneurs fall into depression after a huge exit.
That end goal they dreamed about feels empty when they actually reach it.
A man needs a daily purpose, pursuit, and challenge.
It's not the peak of the mountain that matters. But the sweat-soaked climb.
Best thing you can do in your professional life is find a mountain you enjoy climbing day after day and just never stop.
I think this post is worth its weight in Gold! I was wrong coming into this week (Happens A lot😁) thinking we may get some pullback as we had rallied strongly since 4/21, but what Marky highlights here is really important! He just gave a few names we are watching we also screen daily constantly keeping an eye for more. What is strong can remain strong for longer than you might think.

So while the $SPY is working on its 9th consecutive green close here the key is NOT TO CHASE!
I'm looking for something like what I drew in as we're running into declining 50-day/200-day we will stall and IF (always big IF) we can avoid distribution and vol continue to calm down I'm going to get longer and look to get aggressive.
A lot of names are lacking 'right sides' and its because we've had little to no digestion. This could setup higher/lower doesn't really matter but some permutation of this where best names can put in some pivots/handles.
Biotech looks strong here ($TGTX, $ETON, $ADMA, $CLPT, $PEN, $HALO others). In tech I also watching ($PLTR, $SPOT, $DASH, $IBIT) for entries. Names aren't as important as you let them pick you IF things progress we should see lots more ideas and here is where you SHUT OFF the noise. You know you are doing it right when you feel like you're in a vacuum and don't care what ANYONE else thinks of your ideas/views.
After gapping down last Monday we had a nice 4 day rally in the Nasdaq, it would be normal to back and fill here. I drew in what I am watching for on the Nasdaq composite. I want to see if the low of the gap on 4/23 can hold and then maybe build out a low cheat. I am still not seeing a ton of set ups yet. Volatility is still high around pivots. GRPN is todays example. I covered this in my stock analysis report over the weekend for MPA clients as it has held up really well. That obviously changed this morning. Patience is still key here!

Yesterday, the S&P 500 triggered a rare thrust signal that has occurred near bear market lows. While our own SPY trend model has yet to shift back to a buy signal and actionable setups remain limited, this development marks a step in the right direction.
Adding to the positive tone, recent follow-through action on the Nasdaq and NYSE suggests a growing appetite from institutions.
The market rally gained further traction, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both breaking above short-term resistance. Notably, the Nasdaq posted its third consecutive gain of more than 2%—a feat not seen since April 2001.
Fueling the rally were renewed hopes for earlier-than-expected Fed rate cuts and growing enthusiasm around AI-driven data center demand, both of contributed to lifting tech.
We recently added a couple select names long however, we are still treading lightly until we see better action in breakout stocks.
Ed Yardeni recently pointed out a potential contrarian indicator: On Sunday, April 20, he noted that The Economist had run three consecutive, highly bearish cover stories—warning of a potential collapse in the U.S. dollar, stock and bond markets, and the broader economy. As of this week, the streak continues: a fourth bearish cover features a battered eagle, symbolizing America under strain in Trump’s first 100 days.
When mainstream sentiment reaches this level of pessimism, historical precedent often favors those willing to take the other side.

Well here we go...Nasdaq & NYSE had a mild accumulation day yesterday and we're gapping higher this morning so watching to see if we can close at near/highs (very early in the day here) and can we get above average volume would be ideal.
The tricky part right now is that this move down on Monday widened a lot of charts/pivots. This is what volatility does so we need more of that to continue to calm down. The general market may need to rally more first before we get tighter pivots.
If we've bottomed you don't need to be in a hurry. Tell yourself that every hour if you need to but the key is not to force trades just because the index is rallying.
I covered the last of my small $SPY short on the open at a net profit at the open (had already financed it covering 2/3 into the dip on Monday) so now still holding a lot of cash and watching/waiting and dipping a toe or two.
Stay tuned as by days end market could be negative but ideally a strong close on the highs would be a good sign for the bulls.
