Reception have had a lovely week learning about Diwali. We read the book The Best Diwali Ever, made diva lamps, learnt some Indian style dancing and coloured and created our own rangoli patterns. #Diwali

Year 3 have celebrated NSPCC day with lots of creative activities. #NSPCC

Year 6 have combined art and geometry to create fantastic watercolour landscapes! Using horizon lines, vanishing points and perspective, they learned how to make their artwork appear three-dimensional and realistic. Amazing work, everyone! 🌄🎨

Wicked Theatre Trip The choir and musicians from the school went on a theatre trip this week to see the show, Wicked. Everyone had a wonderful time watching the live performance and represented Branfil brilliantly. #Apollo

Year 1 had their very own toy museum this week! Some parents and grandparents came in to show us the toys they used to play with when they were young! We really enjoyed it and learnt so much. #oldtoys

6 Hornbeam braved the rain this week to enjoy a fun-filled day at Forest School. Den building, jumping in puddles and playing capture the flag worked up an appetite for smores and hot chocolate. What a perfect way to warm us all up!

Year 5 were visited by the Science Dome. The children were taken on a tour of the solar system inside an immersive dome, where our expert astrophysicist answered all their burning questions.
