I recently walked away from an AI Creator Partner Program. Not because I expected guaranteed campaigns. Not because I can’t take criticism. I left because creators deserve to know where they stand. Here’s what happened, and what I learned from it. ↓

Bit of a moment this weekend: We Love Stornoway welovestornoway.com ran a feature on the Dè Tha Dol? community film. I'm still learning Gaelic myself, and my pronunciation still needs work, so this film is as much for learners as it is for fluent speakers. The phrase belongs to the people who say it, and I want to hear it in as many voices as possible. Clips are starting to come in. Two days left. If you've got any Gaelic, film 5 to 20 seconds saying "Dè Tha Dol?" in your own accent, and what it means to you, then tag Art Tee Show. If you don't, sending this to someone who does is the biggest favour you could do me. Entries close this Wednesday, 30 September midnight. Links to the article and the contest page in comments. Tapadh leibh 🙏
I’m still learning Gaelic, and my pronunciation isn’t great. So when I say learners are welcome in this film, I mean it. This weekend, We Love Stornoway featured the Dè Tha Dol? community film and the story behind ARTTEESHOW. Dè Tha Dol? started as a tee inspired by a phrase that stuck with me after living in the Outer Hebrides. It’s since become my best-selling piece, but I didn’t want the project to end with the garment. I want to hear the phrase from the people who actually use it: fluent speakers, rusty speakers, different accents, and people saying it for the first time. If the words are still new in your mouth, that’s exactly the kind of voice this film needs. Taking part takes less than a minute: Film 5–20 seconds saying “Dè Tha Dol?” in your own accent and, if you want, tell me what it means to you. Post it as a Reel and tag @art_tee_show, and enter through the form in the link in bio. Every participant is included in the finished film with credit. Five people will also receive a tee. Your clip will only be used for the community film and its promotion, never for AI training, voice cloning or synthetic versions of you. You can also withdraw it before the finished film is published. Entries close Wednesday, 30 September. £3 from every Dè Tha Dol? tee sold goes to Seachdain na Gàidhlig (@sngaidhlig). Tapadh leibh to Cara and the team at We Love Stornoway (@welovestornoway) for telling the story. 🤘 #DeThaDol #Gàidhlig #ScottishGaelic #OuterHebrides #Stornoway

5 t-shirts to win in the Dè Tha Dol? contest! Closes September 30th. Dè Tha Dol?
Say “Dè Tha Dol?” in your own accent. That’s the whole entry. Film 5 to 20 seconds on your phone. Say the phrase, and say what it means to you. No editing needed. Wind is fine. Then post it on Instagram/TikTok. Tag @art_tee_show (@ARTTEESHOW on TikTok), and paste a link in the form on the contest page. Everyone who sends one goes in the community film, with credit. 5 people get a Dè Tha Dol? tee, drawn at random. Fluent, rusty, still learning. All of it counts. And if you’d rather not be on camera. Closes Wednesday 30 September. £3 (yes the donation is now £3 instead of £2!) from every tee sold goes to Seachdain na Gàidhlig (@sngaidhlig), who run World Gaelic Week. artteeshow.com/pages/de-tha-…

I’m trying to build ARTTEESHOW into more than a T-shirt brand. Art. Place. People. Stories. The latest project is Dè Tha Dol?, a phrase you hear all the time in the Outer Hebrides. I want to hear what it means to you. Record yourself saying it, tell me what it means to you then share it on Instagram/TikTok and tag @Art_Tee_Show (Insta) or @ARTTEESHOW (TikTok), and send it in by filling the form on the contest page (artteeshow.com/pages/de-tha-…). Every valid entry gets into the community film. 5 people get will drawn at random to get a tee. Entries close 30 September. Dè tha dol? 👋
Dè Tha Dol? 👋 It basically means “what’s going on?” in Scottish Gaelic But here, it can be more than small talk. It’s a way of asking after someone. How they are. What’s happening. What’s actually going on. I’ve lived in the Hebrides for years and, despite my best efforts, I still manage to butcher the pronunciation 😂 So now, I want to hear yours. Grab your phone. Say “Dè Tha Dol?” in your own accent, then tell me in a sentence what the phrase means to you. That’s your entry. Post it on Instagram or TikTok and tag @art_tee_show (instagram) or @artteeshow (TikTok), and fill the form on the contest page. Every valid entry gets a place in the community film. And 5 people will be randomly drawn to receive a limited 260GSM Dè Tha Dol? tee. No auditions. No followers required. No trying to game the algorithm. Just say the phrase and tell me what it means to you. Everyone has the same odds. Entries close 30 September 2026. 🎥 Link in bio.
