See what’s new in ReaTooled 2.2 —REAPER set up like Pro Tools, but with all of REAPER’s game-changing features: youtu.be/fvGRWQnL25o?si=lxt-…
The Dems should keep making "passing the torch" their thing. I think it's a more emotionally compelling narrative for the progressive worldview than incumbency.
I had to temporarily reactivate my Pro Tools license for a project and forgot how much of a drag this program is. WHY does it keep refusing to do simple things? I’m telling y’all, it really doesn’t have to be this way! 8071910392990.gumroad.com/l/…
Here is a brief story you probably won’t care about unless you care about ornithology and/or other people’s dreams.
…these turkey-sized monsters, gray-black feathers and confusing chanterelle-like faces—orangey folds with no discernible beak. One of them was perched on a branch right above me, slowly cocking its head, glaring down with beady yellow eyes.
This time, the app was certain: “Gusabird.” I read it clearly. It came back with a little picture and everything. And then I saw them in up the trees…
(In the dream, yes, which is weird; usually I can’t operate technology or read screens in dreams.) At first the app guessed it was a duck. 🦆 Which it clearly wasn’t! So I asked Merlin to listen again...
It was a three note sequence, melodic but urgent—with three or four birds echoing the song in conversation. So I pulled out my phone and scanned the sound with my trusty @MerlinBirdID app.
In my dream this morning, I was hanging outside my high school, as you do sometimes in dreams—at night for some reason—and became aware of a distinct bird call I didn’t recognize...
I’ve just released an update to ReaTooled v2.3 (the low-cost Pro Tools alternative using Reaper) — It’s mostly bug fixes and refinements but recommended for all users. Come and get it! 8071910392990.gumroad.com/l/…
If, like Kalli, you’re curious about Spatial Audio (e.g. Ambisonics, Dolby Atmos, etc.) and want to learn more, drop me a line. It’s been a paradigm shift for how I think about sound and I love sharing what I’ve learned!

In addition to recording some of my fav albums, Steve Albini shaped the way I think about sound for radio/podcasting. He wasn’t just a great engineer, he was a documentary artist. He used his technical craft to reveal his subjects, always keeping the focus on them... (cont'd)
Despite seeming gruff on the surface, you could also tell the guy had a ton of heart. And his YouTube channel is such a generous educational resource. youtube.com/@ElectricalAudio… What a loss...
The group has now been restored. Thanks to everyone who helped amplify this. Still no word from @Google on what that supposed violation was! 🙃
