And just like that, @ore is 11th in revenue across all dapps in crypto, surpassing pancake and metamask
90% of revenue is used for buybacks.
Ore isn't stopping, revenue estimates today is at >400k, which will place it in top 10.
We still have so much more to go

On its surface, it just looks like another Solana gambling game.
But this couldn't be more wrong.
I spent a week straight in the mines so you don't have to (but you'll want to).

@MetaDAOProject and @ore stand alone as the most transformative, exciting projects we’ve seen in the last 4 years
True world changers. Both being built on Solana.

Re-introducing: ORE
Today, ORE returns with a brand new mining protocol, redesigned from the ground up to accrue protocol revenue, achieve sustainable tokenomics, and accelerate our mission of creating a Solana-native store of value.

Crypto sentiment’s bleak — just like post-ICO 2018 and post-FTX 2022.
The difference? We’re meant to be mid-bull this time.
Genuinely feels like @MetaDAOProject might be the shot in the arm this space needs. Finally bringing investor protections to permissionless fundraising.
Interesting that most crypto-people that i know personally a long time and whom i consider to have some brains are:
- moving on from crypto to other things in life
- just keep their bitcoin, but no longer invest in new crypto-projects let alone alts
- totally fed up with all the crime, lies, bullshit, etc in this space
- dedicating their time to exploring other investment options: ai, humanoid robots, etc
how many still truly excited that crypto or bitcoin will really change anything in this world?
few...can count them on less than one hand
i think also that is why many og´s unloaded above the 100k mark, they did their part, had insane gains, had enough of it, and are ready to move on
of course bitcoin can still grow a lot, i still believe that as well, it is just time for a new generation to take over (and until now that new generation are mostly degenerates unfortunately)
anyway..just some thoughts from someone who has been here a long time

Feels inevitable that ORE starts a flywheel here

I wrote a longer post a while ago, but there are a few points to update since the recent pivot away from PoW to the blockspace mining mechanic, which is what seems to have kicked off the renewed interest in the project.
1. I think everything I said holds about how Bitcoin has paved the way for more fair launched, non-sovereign stores of value to reach escape velocity in the 21st century.
Some are saying privacy coins like Zcash, and I think that's a reasonable take. I just also believe you can broaden it out to fair launched, non-sovereign SOV assets that have very novel, structural advantages over BTC. BTC obviously will continue to grow as it becomes embedded in the financial system, but I think there will be more than one. Ore's exact structural advantages I mentioned in the longer post.
2. I think the pivot to blockspace mining (and accompanied "game") is really interesting. It's very toy-like today, but I think from the perspective of viewing PoW like a "game", then its a pretty novel/fun take on building a new distribution "game" that keeps value in the system rather than leaking it to non-aligned actors in the system.
3. I believe for any project to reach escape velocity (or just grow to another level of adoption), the core team and community need to be stressed tested. I think Ore has had the most extreme stress test of any project in crypto over the past 1.5 years. The result is a die hard group of holders that remind me of early BTC holders.
Like with any investment @Colosseum makes, we know most will effectively go to zero. However, we will make the long term bet if we believe the founding team is elite, the project is insanely ambitious, and there is an asymmetric chance it works in the end. So I continue to believe in @hardhardchad and Ore, more than ever actually.

The framing of this tweet shows a misunderstanding of what @MetaDAOProject's value proposition actually is. Some key points:
1. Futarchy isn't for everyone (and that's okay). If you have access to VCs and can raise capital traditionally, you are probably not launching on MetaDAO or *any other launchpad*. That said, by raising traditionally, founders will often encounter additional friction later on in the form of a dual equity-token structure, a low float-high FDV token, and a suboptimal token design overall, which will be punished by investors in liquid markets. You either have friction now or friction later (h/t @metanallok for the framing).
2. The way raises are structured on MetaDAO minimizes information asymmetry between founders & investors. By raising on MetaDAO, (a) founders can raise more capital from higher-quality investors and (b) investors can take higher risks on unknowns. Conversely, think about why an investor would back a founder on a launchpad like Believe? Tokens are explicitly structured as memecoins, with no equity or financial upside in the business for tokenholders. People launching there know this, which means they are most likely adversely selected. MetaDAO fixes this adverse selection issue by adding a mechanistic protection against treasury rugs and providing tokenholders with legal recourse.
3. Founders don't lose autonomy (but they don't get carte blanche either). When a founder conducts a raise on MetaDAO, they must set a monthly burn rate that they can spend without requiring governance bottlenecks. If they want to spend more than their limit or increase their burn rate, then a conditional market is needed. This design minimizes the risks of rugs while ensuring founders and teams can still operate efficiently. E.g., a founder raises $1 million with a monthly burn rate of $20k. Let's say they want to run away with the money, disappear, etc., as soon as they complete the raise, tokenholders would still be able to recover 98% of their capital. see mtnCapital as a case study where tokenholders were able to enforce their rights and get back their capital.
4. Futarchy can lead to improved decision-making, but ultimately, it's still a form of governance, not a replacement for existing organizational structures. Product and strategy decisions should still be left to the core team, and as we saw above, they are. Think of futarchy as a way of aligning incentives between tokenholders and the team, and empowering tokenholders to exercise their rights when necessary. Futarchy doesn't guarantee a startup will be successful, but it does improve coordination between founders & investors, accelerating capital formation. teapawt.net/0xcarlosg/status/19712…
5. "Futarchy is a temporary solution to a temporary problem (which goes away with a single regulation)". This argument is just silly. It's like saying Bitcoin is a temporary solution until central banks decide to stop printing money. Instead of waiting for the state or regulators to enact legal protections for tokenholders as those enjoyed by shareholders (right to vote, receive dividends, etc.), futarchic organizations that raise on MetaDAO can credibly and effectively operate in the interest of tokenholders as part of a post-legal system. The solution is not temporary. If you just sit by waiting for regulators to magically fix everything that's wrong with tokens today, you are in for a rude awakening.
