Today, I filmed a Wakefield @UKLabour councillor mohammed ayub at a protest repeatedly shouting the word “pedo” at members of the public, while laughing alongside two younger men he brought with him. ( who are there ) I continued recording as the behaviour went on. Eventually, after noticing me filming a woman attending the protest on his own side approached him and told him to stop. Let that sink in. It took someone from his own side to step in and tell him that his behaviour was unacceptable. Whatever your political views, and whatever side of a protest you stand on, there is absolutely no excuse for a public representative to behave this way towards members of the public. Councillors are elected to represent their communities, and their conduct in public matters. When someone in that position behaves like this, people have every right to question their judgement and standards. I filmed this myself today. The footage speaks for itself.
