Labour has big housebuilding aspirations. But will top-down targets do the job - even if propelled by devo? We're working on new research exploring how resetting the relationship between councils, communities & developers could allow us to build more, and better. 📢 We're thrilled to launch new research from @ATQConsultants! The independent analysis highlights how Social Outcomes Contracts (#SOCs) have generated nearly £9 of public value for every £1 spent, saving UK taxpayers £507 million in fiscal value alone. After more than a decade of market-building work, we’re thrilled to present our latest report outlining ten key lessons from our journey as we continue on our mission to grow the amount of money invested in tackling inequalities in the UK. The system-level changes described in this report would be impossible to achieve without a collective, and we hope these lessons will help other market-building organisations and investors in adopting systemic approaches to impact investing. Delighted to see our Managing Director, Aman Johal, joining the Future Public Services Taskforce launched by @Demos, with support from us at Big Society Capital, @BridgesOutcomes, @CIPFA and @PA_Consulting. Amplifying the call for reform in central Government’s #publicservice strategy, we hope such initiatives draw on a new local public services paradigm and shift our collective focus towards prevention.
Demos today launches the Future Public Services Taskforce. Between now and next summer, the Taskforce will develop a new public service reform strategy for central government. We are delighted to be working with an Advisory Board of Whitehall and Westminster heavyweights. 1/3

Thrilled to see the Government exploring social outcomes partnerships. If we do not innovate in the way we spend public money, we will not make real inroads to some of the social problems facing our communities! @BigSocietyCap @BridgesOutcomes – at London, England
