Europa kan niet zonder vakmensen, maar behandelt hen nog steeds niet als gelijken. Daarom heb ik een initiatiefrapport hierover geschreven.
Onze mbo’ers en vakmensen verdienen een betere erkenning.
Nog nooit nam het Europees Parlement een resolutie aan over het beroepsonderwijs en vakmanschap.
Vandaag komt daar verandering in.

Thats’s what friends are for! Met 34 kritieke mineralen doet Carney een open aanbod om aan de slag te gaan met het European Critical Raw Materials Centre, waar ik nu in het Parlement over onderhandel. Geweldig.
Het is zo ver, de EU komt deze week naar verwachting met een minimumleeftijd voor social media. Wat mij betreft een goed idee! We lopen achter met het beschermen van jongeren in de online wereld en verslavende algoritmes.

Hierom is er nou een Critical Raw Materials Center nodig. Een concrete plek waar onze beste mensen projecten ontwikkelen. Een gezamenlijke strategie, een echte aanpak. We werken er hard aan, over een maand valt het besluit. Geen dag te vroeg!

Today, the European Parliament agreed on a trade deal with the US, under some conditions. Trump’s answer is to break word on arms for Ukraine. We should work even harder to become independent from the US arms industry.

The first official said it was unclear whether European countries providing their funds for the initiative to bolster Ukraine understood how the money was being spent.

In the Netherlands, we earn a large part of our income thanks to a strong Internal Market. There are still plenty of opportunities to strengthen our economy. This is also necessary to secure an even stronger position for Europe on the world stage.
This evening, I spoke with other European leaders during a video conference about EU competitiveness. Key steps we need to take in this regard are to combat unnecessary regulatory pressure, improve the capital market and ensure affordable, sustainable energy. This is a top priority for our government, both nationally and at EU level.

You are a man in a desperate position who, for the fourth year now, has been unable or unwilling to bring a war to an end—despite the fact that the President of the United States has provided every possible assistance to do so.
Therefore, no matter how much you flatter me, we cannot support your war efforts. The Ukrainian people, of course—despite your carefully chosen insults—can still count on us to continue supplying your country with electricity and fuel, and we will also continue to support refugees arriving from Ukraine.
Life itself will settle the rest, and everyone will get what they deserve.
