BrisbaneToolLibrary

📣📣📣 As many of you know, we have been busy trying to find a new home. Today, we can announce that… we collected the key of a new place to call home for the time being! We will continue to serve the community! ✊ More info soon! Thanks everyone!

2 years and 209 loans later - Our member’s Canoe project is complete! When our member (a university student) first joined our tool library he had no prior knowledge of using tools. We are blown away by his persistence and dedication to learning a new craft! #circulareconomy

Last year Prime Minister (@AlboMP) was lucky enough to shake the hand of one of our volunteers! In recognition of her volunteering at our #toollibrary, our Mary Thatcher, was shortlisted for the 2022 ETU apprentice of the year. Join us and you'll get to shake Mary's hand too!#IWD

When we started in 2017, in QLD, tool libraries were a new, unexplored, model. Today, not only we have shown that this model works, but we have also contributed to have tool libraries included in the e-Products Action Plan of the @QldGov. Provide a feedback by 17.04 link below.

We re-opened! 🎉 BRISBANE - YOU HAVE BACK YOUR TOOL LIBRARY! ✊ We're not back at full capacity and we're still trying to solve some challenges, but it's a exciting moment in our journey! #floods #QLD #circulareconomy #socent

Check out the Newkind Conference, which is an annual social change empowerment event! Dr @SabrinaChakori and Dr @KTrebeck will introduce you to #Degrowth. Program and the tickets options (which are very inclusive) newkindconference.com/

@SabrinaChakori will run a workshop at #IslandVibe Festival. She will untangle the underlying drivers of the current social and ecological challenges and she will discuss how #degrowth invites us to rethink society’s structures and dynamics. islandvibe.com.au

Great to be included on this community board during the Kurilpa Derby last month! We're glad that we are offering an alternative, more sustainable, system to our community! Thanks for including us and carrying the board along all Boundary Street! #circulareconomy #sustainability

Just one week to go to the Green Heart Fair (@brisbanecitycouncil). We’ll be hosting a stall from 9am-3pm, come along, visit us (Victoria Park / Barrambin). Entry is free! For all the event updates head to: greenheartfair.com.au

Little update: we have started rescuing our inventory this week. It’s a lot of work - but our volunteers are simply amazing. Please if you can, make a little $ donation. It will help us recover (brisbanetoollibrary.org/supp…). 😴 That’s it for now. We had a very long day, good night!
