I wash my whites and colors in the same cycle. Other than that, I don't really do anything spectacular.

Why has online Christianity become so cannibalistic?

There ain't a lot of boys named Gary these days @SWJMusic
I’m looking for a ridiculously old name for a boy. Think grandfather type of name. Very old and rare.

I don’t know of a single pastor who’s willing to stand before their congregation and say, “The truth is: some of you in this very room are going to Hell and there’s not a thing you can do about it because God hated you before you were born.”
Is it important that people know the truth about sin? The truth about God? The truth about redemption? The truth about their own conversion? The truth about the Christian life? Then TULIP is important.

98% of my phone calls: Me: "Hello..." Them: "Hello?" Me: "Hey..." Them: "Hello?" Me: "HELLO." Them: "Can you hear me?" Has phone call technology really regressed that much? This is unbearable.

I grew up in a family where hard conversations didn't happen. Conflict was avoided and a façade of surface-level peace was the goal. If something was bothering you, you kept it to yourself. Bury the uncomfortable things. No one taught me this directly. I absorbed it. And I carried it into every aspect of my life. I thought I was keeping the peace. I was actually letting things rot underneath the surface. Breaking inherited patterns feels like betrayal. It's not. You can love the people who shaped you and still choose to live differently than they did.

My marriage was in trouble not so long ago. No affairs. No big fights. No obvious cracks. We were fine. That was the problem. We were just...fine I was present in the house but not present in the moments. I heard her words but missed her entirely. I solved problems by downplaying and dismissing any sort of contention and called it being a good husband. I was keeping the peace. Fine is a dangerous place to be. Broken at least demands attention. Fine lets you coast for decades while something essential hollows out inside.

As someone who LOVES @arcinternet I wanted to hate @diabrowser. That's not really the case. I'm not 100% all in, but it is a far better experience than I had envisioned. I still want the sidebar and spaces back, though.

Every developer: “They want $10/mo for this app?! I’ll build it myself in 3 hours” 3,000 hours later: “People should pay me $10/mo for this”

Just heard Adrian Rogers say, “…create some distance and saturate that place with your absence.” I love linguistic creativity.

I was curious about the total ad spend over the lifetime of the Andy Griffith show. ChatGPT's estimate is $10 billion between the original airings, syndication, and streaming.

Curious, @SongSelect - why does this button even exist?
