I understand the nuts and bolts of why that US goal was wiped out. However, I feel there are a bunch of new or casual fans just like me that feel a goal like that should not be offsides. The other team botched possession. If the ball is that close to the goal, anything goes. 1/2

You let someone behind you….thats on you. I’m fine with not letting long ball cherry picking. But I feel an equivalent to a hockey blue line would make the game more fun. I will NEVER understand how there can be offsides on a corner kick. That is really dumb. #WorldCup2026

While I understand what you are saying, it is in fact a strike because it crossed the STRIKE ZONE. If we do it the other way we now are asking the umpire to 1. determine if it crossed the zone and 2. determine if it was some subjective distance to the glove set-up
