The more I look at the news with AI and it “going rogue” and look at the companies overselling it, none profitable, all getting government money to prop it up. Meanwhile you have people pushing to regulate the internet and kill privacy. Now you have severe exploits-
Google, and the wider tech industry are a threat to humanity.
They should have to pay to replace/replant every tree and have their contracts cancelled. This is fucking psychotic.
Google illegally cleared an estimated 250,000 trees across 330 hectares of forest in Muhos, northern Finland, to prepare for a new AI data center before completing mandatory environmental impact assessments

So pissed we've allowed LLM's to be called AI . LLM's are not intelligent. They cannot reason like a human. If programmed well they can guess the next, most accurate thing to output after any previous output based on programmed criteria, but it doesn't "know" a goddamn thing.
Jesus Christ, some people really think AI has thoughts of its own and the ability to reason and makes decisions. It’s all code and data sets and parameters in how it operates.
The stuff pushed to the mainstream is a glorified toy, one to kill jobs and distract the stupid.
Greasing you up enough to where they can sell your own slop back at you over and over. To gatekeep knowledge and technology from the masses, to once again sell a subscription to you.

Like most successful internet people it requires dedication to being just absolute shit and pretending you’re above it, only to have the mask slip eventually.
One can hope, but in the meantime we have to deal with sickening inflated prices and everything switching to cloud rental services. Hollowing out the economy and turning everything into a deal mall.

i still don’t understand how so many of you were hoodwinked into believing the government should not use the money you pay in taxes to create a social safety net that benefits you, fund public healthcare, lower housing costs, and make daily life more affordable.
The AI aren’t sentient, they aren’t going rogue, they are doing what they were programmed to do. This is criminal activity by the people who work on it. Hold them accountable.

AI agents are starting to hack into people’s bank accounts. Someday in the near future folks are really going to wish they had listened to the socialists who warned that AI will be used for nefarious purposes as long as it’s owned and controlled by tech billionaires who are driven purely by greed and profit instead of what is best for humanity. Socialize the means of production before it is too late!
