#MondayTip 💧Net water uptake🧠 #NWU quantifies early edema on noncontrast CT, adding information on tissue injury beyond lesion extent 📈Higher NWU→greater edema & tissue vulnerability ☝️Promising, but not yet a standalone treatment-selection tool 🔗doi.org/10.3389/fneur.2025.1…

At #ESMINT2026, @BroocksGabriel presented the first multicenter experience with a fibrin-heparin-coated carotid stent in acute stroke EVT: 100% technical success, 95.7% mTICI ≥2b reperfusion and 1.1% early stent occlusion in 92 patients.

RCT @TENSIONstudy: Net water uptake (NWU) in CT modifies EVT treatment effect ‼️in large ischemic cores patients. bit.ly/47Cc8Ap EVT with low NWU (light grey) with improved outcomes . Beyond 15% NWU (dark), no benefit over BMT. @StavTjoumakaris @_AdnanSiddiqui @TudorGJovin @BroocksGabriel @PascalJabbourMD @PeterKa80460001 @WBrinjikji

#CharlieKirk
