I feel this.
Every opportunity crowded with AI slop apps.
Every channel saturated with AI slop marketing.
You can't make slop to compete with slop.
I think the way to win is to be as human as possible.
Think about building long term. Be opinionated about code. Take a bit of extra time over the UI. Build something you're really proud of. Market your app without AI; write your newsletters yourself, make video diaries, interview real life customers, etc.
I could be wrong, but at least I won't be part of the slop-race.
I’ve been thinking about this for the past day
And it’s like.. what are we even doing?
Right now there’s this EXTREME urgency to build now or there won’t be any new opportunities left in the future
I feel it
But that’s what everyone else is doing right now.
So yeah, you can create something amazing. But now what? You gotta get people using the thing
So everyone jumps onto ASO
Surprise. 10,000 new apps per day are doing that too
Now we jump onto TikTok to find the perfect hook. Gotta grab that attention somehow
Surprise. Millions of others are doing the same now. And now you can generate an AI actor to do it for you
Ok. Now it’s time to do paid marketing
Surprise! Everyone else is doing that too. Now the marketing costs reach their limits and just breaking even isn’t even guaranteed.
This can’t be an endless game of trying to find the next distribution channel every other week
What are we even doing man?
I’ve been thinking:
Our paradigm has changed.
I think it changed even more with Fable 5.
Productivity != success
Time put it != success
So what is the key?
amazing how much more I can do when I stop caring so much about what others would think or say and focus on the actual thing I'm about to do
the ultimate handicap for me in my productivity/performance is being too hard on myself.
at some point it starts being useful feedback and turns into self-sabotage
I solved craving for sugar with protein shakes, blueberries and regular workouts.
Honestly, that's all you need.
These three fix 95% of mood problems as well. 80/20 at its finest.
Not against AI generated websites at all. But I can smell one in a fraction of a second. Please be more creative
Nobody - no matter how talented, educated and smart they are - gets everything right the first time.

I'm genuinely surprised how much more usable bing has become recently, compared to google.
I consistently get better search results.
IMO the most common reason for depression is doing shallow, meaningless work. Having no personal/professional purpose.
Looking back, the moments I’ve been somewhat unhappy in life were the moments I didn’t do any deep, meaningful work.
