As we are in the middle of moving the archives, @TrimSarah very kindly worked through her virtual graduation ceremony, but we did manage a 5min break for a photoshoot in a graduation gown, with her besties 😎 @Bruneluni @Brunel_Library @BrunelSpecColl

📢 We're sorry to announce that the Archives are being moved out of our building by the end of Aug 2021. Our Reading Room remains closed. Our remote research service will cease on 7/7/21, until Oct 2021. We are really sorry for the short notice - it was a shock for us too.

#ArchiveFoodAndDrink #Archive30 Food and drink is a big part of enjoying being together - and alumni reunions are no different. Here's the 1908 Borough Road College year group meeting up in the late 1940s [1948?], and the 1954 BRC year group meeting up in 2004. @brunelalumni

This is one of a set of reading cards dating to 1925, recently discovered in the Saffron Walden [Teacher Training] College Archives here at Brunel. Not yet catalogued or properly digitised - but as soon as I'm back in the Archives I'm on it!

Today's tweet is for @ProfWLeahy who has been doing a fantastic job keeping up morale amongst the Brunel community. Thank you Bill, we really appreciate it 😊. Sorry it's not "monkey tennis", but best I could do! #fromthearchives @Bruneluni

#ThrowbackThursday #FromTheArchives Two different student common rooms today. Brunel Uni's in the 1970s, and #Saffron Walden College's c.1919. Were the 1970s really that brown? @Bruneluni @brunelalumni @BrunelSpecColl @brunelstudents

#throwbackthursday #fromthearchives #OTD 18th March 1971. The student newspaper ISAM announced the retirement of its editorial team - presumably all final year students. And also the start of Brunel Radio. @brunelradio @brunelalumni @Bruneluni @thebruneltimes

Strong room days are GOOD days! Even if I do seem to have lost my ninja ability to go straight to the correct bay without looking at the location list. Hopefully it will return! @BrunelSpecColl @Bruneluni @brunelalumni @BFSSCharity @PolHistBrunel @explorearchives

We've been working for years now to address the imbalance we inherited. In our catalogue and on our website you will find MANY stories of female students and staff from Brunel and its predecessor colleges. We'd love you to take a look today #IWD2021 brunel.ac.uk/about/Archives

#IWD International Women’s Day is a time to reflect and celebrate the achievements of women and challenge for change. Until the early 21st C, you would have been excused for thinking that women didn't exist in our history or our Archives ... Well they do! cont ➡️
