I made a website. It's called "one million chessboards dot com". it has one million chessboards on it.
moving a piece moves it for everyone, instantly. no turns. you can move between boards.
that's it. have fun!
I just launched a little project I wanted to share.
Let's Get Creative is a collection of high-quality, free, online creativity tools. The site is intended to be a safe, bookmarkable, creativity resource for kids and adults.

Just added two more:
- Peel.fm by @berkcebi
- Inspiral, by @NathanAFriend
Always a joy to stumble across neat little projects like these.
I found some more creativity tools!
- snowdays.me
- marblerun.at
- ludotune.com
- Jazzari (by @jackschaedler)
- thirtydollar.website (by @TheRealGDColon)
(...and several others)
Some of these are old. Some are new. All are excellent.

Before you buy a domain, first check to see if it is haunted.

📝Post from @BryanEBraun really got me thinking…
You know those home renovation shows? Nerd version: a “domain renovation” show where folks buy old domains, fix them up (get good SEO, reputable backlinks, etc.) and then flip them for a good price.

I just found this web-app for building your own 3D-printed music box cylinder. 😍
It has everything:
- Scroll-based playhead scrubbing
- Auto-replay (just like a real cylindrical music box)
- Embedded 3D view
- Instructions in English and Japanese
Great work @52shinNaka!!
Boosting this because I'd love to see web feeds continue to grow and evolve. Contribute if you can!

My take: obsession is both a gift and a curse.
It's like the One Ring, granting you incredible power but at the risk of consuming you and your loved ones. Wield it with caution.

Being happy with what you have doesn’t prevent you from pursuing what you want.
I discovered a few cool new frontend features recently:
- window.structuredClone() - a deepClone built straight into the JS standard library!
- CSS Anchor positioning - a more advanced position:absolute, with applications for tooltips and overlays
Things get better sometimes!
At musicbox.fun, the UI state is accessible at window.MusicBoxFun, which makes it possible to run silly little scripts like this:

It makes me sad that @Pocket recently discontinued their built-in RSS feed feature.
Why? We need options for non-algorithmic content, more now than ever before. 😕

I had a tricky SVG problem tonight and I was once again saved by @mathieudutour's SVG path visualizer tool.
It's simply fantastic. That is all.
