Alabama DL Mhari Johnson is a player that I have my eyes on heading into Week 1. 👀 The freshman has added 28 pounds to his frame since arriving as an early enrollee in January. Johnson is physical at the point of attack, quick off the ball, and a noticeable presence along the interior of the defensive line. Defensive line coach Freddie Roach will likely look to use Johnson similarly to how he planned on using Jeremiah Beaman this season — as a defensive lineman that can play interchangeably at DT or DE. The two have very similar frames and skillsets. I was high on Beaman heading into fall camp. I am also encouraged by what I’ve seen from Johnson throughout the offseason and during fall camp.
