A backup goalie. former first rounder command who’s 3 years away from seeing the nhl. Lastly The 2029 SECOND ROUNDER. The Jets got one active 3rd line skater and one backup goalie. The rest are futures and a cap dump. That’s not a lot for a 3x Vezina winning, 1 full season removed heart winner, and last years gold medalist.

We paid Krebs & Beck. Added cap in Crevier. Remove those guys and we have the room for Tuch. Fans acting like we needed to blow up the team to keep Tuch are just using a lame cope out. Tuch would have given us at minimum 3-4 more good seasons on that contract. Who gives a fuck about the last 3-4 years of it. Let that be an issue the deal with if it happened. Or maybe our GM makes an actual deal to improve the team in the offseason which would have been finding a team to take on Norris. Even if it cost us a draft pick.

The Allen vs Lamar debate has always been silly. One is rarely ever available for a full season and when he is he doesn’t show up in the playoffs. The other is Allen.

Knowing what you know now should the Sabres have traded Tuch at last years deadline? Was a playoff appearance worth letting him walk for nothing?
