we just reached 1M ARR with boat.dev
it was our best case scenario for the entire YC batch, yet it took only 2/3rd of it to happen
slowly then all at once, we grew from 0 to 1M ARR in 22 months over 6 pivots:
0 -> $10k ARR in 16m, 5 pivots
$10k -> $100k ARR in 4m, 1 pivot
$100k -> $200k ARR in 1m
$200k -> $1M ARR in 1m
we already got way more in rev run rate btw, subscriptions are just a fraction of our total revenue
now road to $100M!

rn we're spinning up more than 100k VMs per day, it has grown 30x in just 2 weeks!
at our avg size mix that's ~ 1M vCPU, 2 petabytes of ram, 10 petabytes of nvme allocated and deallocated every day
now that we posted this, sandbox companies with way too much spare capacity (because they don't know how to sell it)
come and post how they can do 10x that, feeling great about themselves
we cant wait to grow 30x more soon and demo stuff their accounting would never support

MausBot now speaks Portuguese.
The whole app is in Brazilian Portuguese: sidebar, chats, menus, settings.
Turn it on in Settings → General → Language.
On a Team Cloud, everyone keeps their own language.

this is the most underrated open source data analytics tool right now
the biggest advantage of giving a bot a VM is the amazing internet speeds in the machine
I wanted to analyse a day of AIS ship tracking data around Denmark and visualise it
so I gave @mausbot_ the task
it spun up a @boatdotdev VM and pulled 1 GB of boats data around Denmark in 8 seconds
then the bot went through 14.4 million positions in 6 seconds, and the bots drew every ship's path right in the chat
rendered it using the HTML tool we have to make a dashboard

if u do something by hand every week, your aim should be automate it and move to the next thing
so u don't focus on doing work like code, content, gtm etc, but focus on building system which will produce them with minimal human effort and time.
