More #ByeWeekThoughts (that I didn't finish over the bye) The gold egg bowl unis weren't a bad idea, they just happened during a bad uniform era. I think it'd be cool to see both teams embrace a dialed back version with subtle gold accents (patches, decals, etc).

#ByeWeekThoughts Don’t Fear the Reaper as the 4Q song for the blackout against Oklahoma would be the perfect time to test the water for that song. It’d either be embraced and become one of the best stadium anthems nationally, or the fans would hate it and it’d be dead.

Personally I think one of the most cowbell friendly songs of all time (that happens to also be a great song) is a no brainer and would be 10x cooler than DSB, but it’s a little niche so I could see people not getting it.

State’s deal with Adidas runs through 2030. Anyone who pretends to have an idea of what the market, a team, or a provider, are doing that far in advance is either A) dumb themselves or B) hoping to fool dumb people They’re coming to our side and don’t like the optics of it.

And fwiw I don’t blame them for making the move. It’s the same reason we did it two decades ago. It’s smart. You can be a low priority for a “better” brand to stoke your ego (what they’ve historically cared about) or take the better deal (which they finally realized is worth it)
