I risked a listen to Van's "No More Lockdowns" today. It was fascinating. An unpoetic, paranoid, conspiracy-theory lyric of no merit, a crap one riff tune and yet that amazing voice with all its wonderful phrasing. Like excalibur being used to disembowel a worm. #VanMorrison

A customer approaches me this morning and speaks in a low voice: "What would you call a security man in Hickey's Bakery in Barrack Street?
I pause to think, but nothing comes to mind.
"A Blaa-guard!" he announces triumphantly. And then "Happy Christmas!"
