Delighted to have been selected as the new DCFO for Derbyshire. It has been a pleasure & a privilege to work within this excellent organisation. I hope the new role will provide the opportunity to do even more for our communities and champion the unique value of the Fire Service.
We're delighted to announce the appointment of a new Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO), @RobTayl49007191. Rob will take up the role of Deputy Chief Fire Officer in August 2021 following the retirement of the current DCFO Rick Roberts.

Luckily an off duty firefighter came across this before it got too big, it deprived the town of two front line firefighting appliances while it was dealt with though. We were lucky, this time!

A really valuable, quality training session for Rope Rescue (SWAH2) crews at Buxton. Facilitated by kind permission of @McCarthyStone Great learning (Hooks, FF Bennison!!) and streamlining of our access procedures and techniques. Great partnership working assisting us all!
A huge thank you to @McCarthyStone for this unique training environment. It allowed crews to clarify their procedures and techniques and is a great example of partnership working that allows us to prepare for an incident before it happens! Thank You!
FF Goodwin being tested on the tighter country roads in preparation of her Emergency Response Driving.
Buxton Green Watch were the last watch receiving water rescue (DEFRA Mod4) training from @DFRSTraining today, before training turns towards much needed exposure to significant flow, cross currents and challenging hydrology at Menai Straits.
