Team was nice and compact without the ball, could create chances from transitions with speed and clarity, but also looked dangerous with ball possession in Derby’s end. The ball retention kept Derby pinned in for long stretches and if not for a couple great saves, Bolton still could’ve won 3-2 before the late consolation counter attack.

First full match I’ve watched this season! Thought Bolton were by far the superior team and aside from a 5-7 minute spell of self-destruction and switching off, should have and would have won the game. Poor to start second half that way, knowing that Derby were desperate and would push, but generally I was really impressed with the team. Gives me real hope they’ll continue to climb the table and feel a middle/upper table team this season. Rodrigues was impressive as well as Conway, Larrazabal, Sheehan and I like the center back pairing.
