How many Simpsons in a Caminero? 🤔 Chander Simpson (bunt) vs. Junior Caminero (home run trot).

This is not looking great for Jalen Hurts the player, along with his physical health moving forward. “Is there a possibility, given what we now know, that this is a career-ending injury? YES. Why? Because he is always going to be prone to developing a blood clot. Which is then going to potentially move to his lungs, secondary to a hit. And unfortunately, as a professional quarterback in the NFL, that’s not a risk anyone should be willing to take.”

What a horrifying scenario for Jalen Hurts along with his family. Risked his life for what? Absolute malpractice.
Jalen Hurts has multiple blood clots in his lungs Career-ending? Deep dive into this absolutely insane fiasco here:

The Eagles’ brass can’t possibly have a legitimate reason to have started him in London. This story is crazy. 36 hours with no sleep, then starting as a QB in the NFL. Why??
Jalen Hurts was told by doctors not to sleep after his initial diagnosis of a superficial blood clot while in London. Hurts stayed awake for roughly 36 hours before starting against the Jaguars. (per @TomPelissero)
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tom Pelissero, the source cited, later clarified after speaking to Jalen Hurts' agent that Hurts was able to sleep after hospital evaluation and felt rested to play. x.com/TomPelissero/s… cbssports.com/nfl/news/jalen… sportingnews.com/us/nfl/philade…

Phillies have the highest analytical staff in MLB.
Three teams left, and all three have bigger-than-average analytics staffs. Brewers: 46 (2nd in MLB) Rays: 39 Guardians: 30 League average: 28.5 The Phillies have the biggest staff in baseball, and they're already home. Like payroll, it's one input. Everything else combined still matters more.

Thank God I’ll know what to do now with all those potholes in PA.
The Roadster could genuinely be a lifesaver in situations like these.

Notes from NLCS Game 4: - Garrett Mitchell fell behind 0-2 against Tanner Scott, worked the count full, then crushed a 409-foot leadoff solo to center for the go-ahead run in the sixth — the first homer of his career on an 0-2 count. - Garrett Mitchell is also now the seventh left-handed MLB player to have homered off left-handed pitchers in consecutive postseason games within a single postseason. The list: • Garrett Mitchell (2026 NLCS Games 3-4 — off Blake Snell and Tanner Scott) • Freddie Freeman (2024 World Series Games 1-2) • Corey Seager (2020 NLCS; did it twice: Games 2-3 and 5-6) • Anthony Rizzo (2015 NLDS Games 3-4) • Josh Hamilton (2010 ALCS Games 3-4) • Chase Utley (2009 World Series Games 4-5) • Rusty Staub (1973 NLCS Games 2-3) - Through yesterday, the Brewers’ bullpen has a collective 1.33 ERA in 40 2/3 innings. All 7 of their wins this postseason have gone to their relievers. In the NLCS alone, six relievers combined for a 2.08 ERA while covering 21⅔ of the 36 total innings. - Aaron Ashby’s line for the NLCS came to 6 2/3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K, 0.00 ERA, 0.45 WHIP. - The Brewers became the first MLB team to sweep a four-game postseason series against a team that did the same to them the year prior. - Jake Bauers won NLCS MVP, although so many Brewers’ players could have been recognized for the award in just four games.

THE BREWERS RETURN THE FAVOR OF A SWEEP IN THE NLCS AGAINST THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS!!! THEY’RE HEADED TO THE WORLD SERIES AND AWAIT THE WINNER OF THE ALCS.

Just when you think you’ll come back to beat the Brewers, they twist the knife and leave you hopeless. Seems like a World Series favorite to me.
