Each of these men had convictions with over eight years in state prison for child sex crimes. Each of these men had detainers put on them by ICE while they were in custody. And each of these men were released without the ICE detainers being honored because of Colorado’s sanctuary policies that protect illegal aliens rather than American citizens and victims of illegal alien crime!

After calling for federal help for our state, the President has declared a federal emergency, unlocking critical funding for flooding recovery for several of our communities and Tribes.

New Mexico Democrats made our state the abortion capital of America.
We now have the highest abortion rate in the country. Roughly 17,000 procedures a year and 71% of them are performed on women who travel here from other states, mostly Texas.
They voted for no limits, expanded protections, and $20 million in taxpayer money for new clinics built to handle the out-of-state influx. The Catholic Church in New Mexico has consistently taught that every human life is sacred from conception and has opposed these policies. A state that is heavily Catholic is being turned into a destination for abortion tourism on the public dime.
The numbers don’t lie.
I’m alarmed at increased cases of screwworm in New Mexico, and the quarantines they trigger, as well as the interruption in the production cycle for ranchers.
Four months ago I introduced an overwhelmingly bipartisan bill that deserved its debate and passage, yet Speaker Johnson and others held up the bill for political reasons — and now we’re here. Using our state extension service is a commonsense solution to mitigation, quick detection, and ultimately, eradication.
No more delays – when Congress is back in session, it should pass my bill to help stop the spread of NWS.
