I’m honored to be recognized by the @OC_Biz_Council for the second year in a row. Orange County businesses create jobs, support families, and keep our economy strong. But rising costs are making it harder for businesses to grow and families to get ahead. I’ll keep fighting to make California more affordable and a better place to live, work, and do business. This year, I coauthored Senate Joint Resolution 15, urging Congress to protect California businesses from higher federal unemployment taxes tied to the state’s unpaid unemployment insurance (UI) debt. California has yet to pay off its federal UI debt, and our small businesses shouldn’t have to carry the burden. Paying off this debt would help prevent tax increases, ease the pressure on our small businesses, and protect California jobs. #caleg #SmallBusiness #CaliforniaJobs #CostOfLiving #OrangeCounty

A must-read from @juliewattsTV as she reports on alleged fraud and asks the million-dollar question: Why aren’t the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s public contracts being made available? What is there to hide? Your tax dollars. Their ATM. California has the highest gas tax in the nation to fund the high-speed fail. The legislature needs to have a serious conversation to defund this failed project. #caleg

At a time when nearly 6 in 10 Californians say rising prices have caused financial hardship for their households, the governor continues to pour good money after bad into high-speed rail. Seven years ago, Newsom acknowledged that California’s high-speed rail project lacked adequate oversight and transparency. Today, more than $600,000 in taxpayer dollars has reportedly been spent on luxury travel by project consultants under his watch. Meanwhile, Californians pay the highest state gas tax in the nation, in part to fund this failed project. Your tax dollars. Their ATM. It’s time to defund the high-speed fail and deliver real tax relief to struggling Californians. #caleg #highspeedfail #accountability #Transparency

More Than Half of California Kids Cannot Read. Two Thirds Cannot Do Math. This Is What 40 Years of One Party Rule Built. 51% fail basic English. 62% fail math. 64% fail science. California spends more per pupil than almost any state in the country and produces these results. The Democratic supermajority has protected failing schools, blocked accountability and fought parents at every turn. Our kids are paying the price. Give parents the tools. Break the grip. Let us fix this. #FixCalifornia

Meanwhile, an SVP supervised by Liberty Healthcare, the same state contractor, cut his GPS and vanished for weeks. No more placements until we get real security answers. latimes.com/california/story…

I recently spoke with @JenniferHorn @am870theanswer to discuss how high gas prices are squeezing California families’ budgets. Nearly 6 in 10 voters are worried about the cost of gas and transportation. While families struggle to afford everyday necessities, Sacramento Democrats' failure to deliver meaningful relief is unacceptable. I will keep fighting to suspend the gas tax, lower the cost of living, and put California families first. #caleg #GasIsTooDamnHigh #Affordability

California just released this year's test scores: Fewer than 4 in 10 students are proficient in math.
More than half aren't proficient in reading and writing. Our kids deserve better. Classrooms should be focused on the basics: reading, writing and math. Not politics. Every child deserves a strong foundation and a real shot at success. Let's get back to what matters. nypost.com/2026/10/15/us-new…

I’ve always said California doesn’t have a revenue problem. We have a wasteful spending problem. Families are struggling to pay for higher groceries, health care, and gas. This is not a government working for the people. It's an administration that puts political insiders and wasteful spending ahead of California families. It’s time to pull the plug on the high-speed fail. #caleg #highspeedfail

The only thing "high-speed" about this project has been the rate at which it burns taxpayer dollars. UNBELIEVABLE
