Tropical Storm Erin (Hurricane Erin) is tracking like we excepted. cat5prep.com/daily-hurricane…

We’re thinking about moving all social media accounts over to @X. Just better for interaction it seems and news updates. Where you’re dealing with Hurricanes, it seems logical.

There is still lots of time for formation and potential curves but it looks like Erin will be a hurricane. Bermuda needs to be on alert. cat5prep.com/daily-hurricane…

In the next 48, low chance of development. Strong chance in 7 days, but GFS and Euro agree the formation will likely curve NE into water. cat5prep.com/daily-hurricane… Hurricanes are like unpredictable vacuum cleaners. Be hurricane ready though.

Let’s face it, Hurricane season could be a lot worse right now, but let’s not let our guard down. It’s picking up quickly. cat5prep.com/daily-hurricane…

Don’t let your guard down.
OK. Little soapbox time. My feed (and others) is filled with things like: 'the season is a bust', 'so much for the busy year you promised', 'you fear mongers sure hyped up this year'. Stuff like that. Maybe it will be slow. Maybe it won't. Let's wait until November when we can look back. Believe it or not we are ahead of schedule this season already. Usually the third named storm is August 3rd (years 1991-2020). First Hurricane statistically August 11th. We had remnants of Barry cause Texas flooding. We had Chantel bring incredible flooding to NC. We had Invest 93 cause flooding across the SE. July is usually slow. I get it. The preseason chatter and after a year like last year many are anxious. Expecting maybe things that haven't happened (yet). I am not wishing for a busy year. Some think I do. I would be happy chasing Louie and Longo around the pool. And snow again in the South. There will always be weather. Mother Nature only knows when. Remember 'It only takes one'. Heading to dinner with the family here on this last day of July. See you in August!

Well now. Looks like a little activity is happening in the MDR. Is everything in place for a storm? Not quite, but could be. cat5prep.com/daily-hurricane…

Lightning is no joke. If you hear thunder…get under.
A North Carolina gamer was livestreaming when a bolt of lightning struck outside his home and sent an electrical surge straight through his gaming setup.
