More and more the answer lies in indie games and companies.
The corporate world poisons everything.
Indies are made with passion. Having loads of money doesn't necessarily translates to good games. Some of the best games I played were indies, low to high budget.

Saying Gears of War E-Day isn't successful strictly based on sales numbers is like saying Stranger Things isn't successful because it didn't sell enough copies.
Millions of people have already played it in just a few days.
If a subscription service like Game Pass is how people want to consume it, why hold it against the game?
Whether the revenue meets Microsoft's expectations is Microsoft's problem to solve. Most players only care whether they're getting a great game at a good value.

Gears of War: E-Day sales numbers are raising some interesting questions about Xbox Game Pass!
According to estimates from Alinea Analytics:
❎ 230K copies sold worldwide
❎ 168K copies sold on Steam
❎ 62K copies sold on Xbox (console + PC)
❎ 1.7 million players through Game Pass
❎ 722K Game Pass players purchased the $30 Premium Upgrade
❎ Nearly 950K players paid for the game or an upgrade
❎ $37 million in estimated revenue, with around $26 million coming from Xbox
While traditional sales appear low, the Premium Upgrade numbers tell another story. Hundreds of thousands of Game Pass subscribers were willing to spend additional money to play E-Day early.
These are third-party estimates, not official Microsoft sales figures.

No, do something more exciting, look at Invasion and crank it up, give us flyable pelicans, drivable Scarabs, get the music going at key moments,get Halo fans blood pumping and stop catering to people that would drop it after a week because they go back to CoD Warzone, sod BRs
Halo being under Activision is fine, I guess.
But if they think a reboot and a complete discard of the lore is the solution, the franchise is dead to me.
You saw what happened to the Halo show. Nobody wants a reboot. We want our beloved characters and lore respected.
