As a proud alum, it’s incredibly meaningful to return to the place that shaped so much of who I am today.

OFFICIAL: The Pre Classic women’s 800m now has a name worthy of its greatest champion–the Mutola 800m. 👑
No athlete has won more at The Prefontaine Classic than Maria Mutola. Her signature event will continue to bring the world’s best middle-distance runners to Hayward Field.

I think the main thing here is that one of the worlds most prestigious team's in one of the worlds most popular sports (i.e, access to anyone/anything) has deliberately chosen to bring in a 78yr old track and field coach because he has a level of expertise they don't have elsewhere. Shows humility and intelligence IMO. Could have gone with any number of big name coaches. But they did research. Awesome to see they value and respect his rare knowledge, which Harry has been trying to share with Athletics with limited interest.
Manchester United have invited a world-renowned track and field coach into the club as a consultant to offer his insight on athletics, including the mechanics of running.
Harry Marra, 78, has been present at Carrington to lend his expertise to staff, partly on the best way to cover ground with speed and endurance, due to the emphasis for high intensity in Ruben Amorim’s system.
The arrangement, on a consultancy basis, has been instigated by United executives in line with head coach Amorim. Marra has been chosen due to his record in elite sport. He is working with Sam Erith, #MUFC's interim performance director.
The arrangement is set to last a few weeks.

No disrespect to Crouser, who is, without a doubt, the greatest shot putter of all-time, but IMHO, Ashton remains the greatest all-around athlete.
Now that @RCrouserThrows is not only world record-holder but also 3-time Olympic shot put champion, can we say he is the greatest Oregon-born/bred athlete?
Better than Terry Baker, Danny Ainge and Ashton Eaton?
I say yes. What say you?

Good stuff from the Professor, especially in light of NBC's condensed TV coverage on Sunday which failed to interview any of these amazing women.
Well worth your time from the best T&F writer still standing.
