UPDATE: The Uganda Health Service Commission is finalising plans to recruit and promote hundreds of health workers as the government moves to address staffing gaps in public health facilities across the country. According to the Permanent Secretary and Secretary of the Health Service Commission, Ms Ketty Lamaro, the recruitment and promotion exercises for national and regional referral hospitals will be conducted centrally, with applicants using designated electronic application hubs and the Commission’s digital platforms. Regional Referral Application Hubs in Arua, Gulu, Mbale and Mbarara will facilitate the application and validation processes. Applicants will undergo structured validation, aptitude tests and interviews conducted under the supervision of the Health Service Commission.
