Welcome to 21m Chase Jackson 🙌
@ealey_chase erupted in the first round of the @ISTAF_Berlin meeting throwing 21.02m to set a new US record and become the first American woman over 21m.
She's been knocking on the 21m door with several meets over 20.90m but finally hit blackjack today in Berlin becoming the second rotator to surpass the mark.
After years of waiting for another woman to break 21m, we now have two this year with Jessica Schilder being the other.
What a time for women's shot put.

I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.

Sean Brosnan has been named the newest distance and cross country coach for USC the school announced Friday morning.
Brosnan is best known for his tenure as head cross-country and distance coach at Newbury Park High School from 2016 to 2022, transforming the program from one that had not qualified for the California State Championships in decades into one of the nation's premier high school distance-running programs.
Brosnan joined UCLA as an assistant coach in 2022, but after one season his contract wasn't renewed by the school.
Brosnan replaces Brenda Martinez, who announced two weeks ago she was leaving the program.
