Centre County still has approximately $400,000 remaining in CHIRP grant funds for our local hospitality industry, and the deadline to apply (April 18) is fast approaching!

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program is now available to help renters with rent arrears, future rent, and utility assistance. Assistance can be provided for rent and/or utility arrears as far back as March 2020.

Shout out to Perry County Commissioner Brenda Watson and Centre WISP for rolling out the Centre County Rural Broadband model in a new County in under a year.
After March 15th, @CentreCountyGov will help award over $1,800,000 to Centre County hotels. motels, restaurants, and bars that experienced at least a 25% revenue decrease during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hotel State College is a great example business since their building contains a hotel, restaurants, and bars. Stay tuned for updates here and on centrecountypa.gov !
One of my first human resources actions as a County Commissioner was establishing a paid #MLKDay holiday for @CentreCountyGov staff. I was very surprised to find it was not already a paid County holiday.
