ALT Halloween Driver Safety Tips from the Atlanta Department of Transportation. Halloween is also the last day of National Pedestrian Safety Month.

ALT One. Be alert and watch for trick-or-treaters. Drive slowly, especially in residential areas, to allow for quick stopping for people crossing the roadway. Two. Exit driveways and alleys slowly and carefully. Turn on your headlights earlier in the day to help you spot children and adult pedestrians. Three. Use public transit or rideshare if you’re planning to attend a party. Otherwise, designate a sober driver if you plan to drink.
