Manufacturers were glad to see the @GOPHELP advance the SAFE Drugs Act, a bill the NAM supported. This is an important step toward protecting patients from potentially unsafe, non-FDA-approved drugs produced by underregulated compounding pharmacies. Congress should move quickly to pass it.

With 95% of manufacturing workers eligible for health benefits through their employers and 70% of manufacturers reporting rising healthcare costs as a top business challenge, our industry has a direct stake in policies that keep workers healthy and healthcare affordable. Strong, stable, and consistent vaccine policies are common sense—keeping workers on the job, factories running and America’s economy humming.
Manufacturers are grateful to @RepJasonSmith for holding today's @WaysandMeansGOP markup. Manufacturers are committed to providing health benefits to their workers, but rising healthcare costs remain a top challenge for the industry. Congress must bring transparency to the 340B program, a healthcare cost driver, to help lower costs and protect benefits for manufacturing workers.

The SECURE Data Act is the right approach to enacting a long-overdue federal data privacy law. By creating a unified, national standard, Congress can finally give Americans power over their data and businesses a stable and predictable regulatory environment.
.@AshliWatts emphasizes the importance of making sure that regulations—including data privacy laws—are workable so that small and medium sized operators can navigate their responsibilities. That’s why @shopfloorNAM supports the SECURE Data Act.

Most people assume prescription drugs are the absolute biggest driver of skyrocketing healthcare costs. But what if they're only 9% of the total? 🤯
On the latest episode of @MakingMedPod, host @johnbstanford sits down with @CCrainNAM from @ShopFloorNAM to look at the real data behind the healthcare system and bust the biggest myth in medicine.

The SECURE Data Act allows manufacturers to innovate responsibly while protecting consumers’ data. It’s time to end the ambiguity and state patchwork of laws and embrace a uniform national standard that keeps America competitive and Americans in control of their data.
.@RepGusBilirakis is right: Americans need a comprehensive, federal privacy law—and businesses need to be able to navigate those protections without a confusing patchwork of state laws. Manufacturers support the SECURE Data Act because it properly balances these concerns so that Americans can protect their data and businesses can confidently grow and innovate.
Great to join @johnbstanford on the @MakingMedPod to talk about how to drive American innovation and make healthcare more affordable for manufacturers and their workers.
📻Tune in to hear how PBM reform, 340B transparency, and continued regulatory certainty from the FDA will keep the workforce at full strength while lowering the cost of healthcare.

Manufacturers have urged the administration to phase out the SEC's costly and unworkable conflict minerals mandate. @ShopfloorNAM thanks @FinancialCmte Chairman @RepFrenchHill and @RepHuizenga for their work to reduce disclosure burdens for publicly traded manufacturers. financialservices.house.gov/…
The recommendations from @MigrationPolicy reflect manufacturers' needs. For years, manufacturers have called for commonsense, merit-based immigration reform that strengthens the manufacturing workforce and benefits the U.S. economy.

.@ShopfloorNAM is a proud supporter of World IP Day—because robust IP protections empower manufacturers in the U.S. to innovate and compete, driving job creation here at home and competitiveness on the world stage.
Manufacturers thank @FinancialCmte for advancing @RepBryanSteil's Protecting Americans' Retirement Savings from Politics Act, which brings urgently needed oversight to politically motivated proxy firms threatening Americans' retirement savings.
H.R. 8286, the Protecting Americans’ Retirement Savings from Politics Act, by @RepBryanSteil passed 27-24.
Honored to speak to @GOPoversight today to talk about how AI is transforming manufacturing and creating new opportunities for growth and innovation in our industry.
