News: The White House is going all out to convince Senate Republicans to advance landmark crypto legislation today over banks’ concerns. Officials plan to launch an interactive tool that allows users “to set the parameters, run the scenarios, and see for themselves” why CEA previously concluded “there is no meaningful relationship between stablecoin growth and community bank deposit flight,” I’m told. The new website will also include an FAQ on its earlier report and responses to banks’ critiques. “The data simply does not support the deposit flight narrative that DC bank lobbyists are pushing,” @patrickjwitt said. That and much more on where the bill stands ahead of this afternoon, with @burgessev and @nicholaswu12: semafor.com/article/09/15/20…

.@CEA47 Chair Christopher Phelan: "Inflation is coming down. [The Fed] didn't choose to raise rates three months ago when inflation was higher; it doesn't make sense to raise rates now."

"If you look at some of the things that came in below the average, which basically means their price fell, they're attributable to specific Trump Administration policies," says @CEA47 Chair Chris Phelan on the July CPI report. "Beef prices fell. @POTUS put out an Executive Order in February specifically to address beef prices."

Demand for capital goods (inputs for future production) has also surged. Now at its highest share of goods imports on record. More capital goods today means more production tomorrow.

Some results and highlights from this year’s Report: The U.S. is short over 10 million homes, as red tape, fees, and mandates add 42% on average to the cost of homebuilding. The importance of work extends beyond income; it decreases rates of mortality, depression, and loneliness. Policies promoting American energy dominance will support growth while lowering energy costs, boosting consumer welfare, and enhancing national security. Increasing competition and removing distortions in healthcare will deliver better quality, cheaper, and faster care for Americans. DEI hiring practices that weight demographic factors more heavily than job-relevant qualifications reduced annual GDP by $94 billion annually by 2023.
