🌊🐢 Discovering the Secrets of Turtle Nesting in Queensland, Australia! 🐢🌊
Ever wondered where sea turtles prefer to nest? Our new study reveals the top spots for flatback, green, and loggerhead turtles in eastern Queensland! 📍🌏
#FlatbackTurtles love nesting on mainland and non-coral cay islands. #GreenTurtles and #LoggerheadTurtles choose coral cays. 🐢🌊
Understanding these nesting habits helps us protect these incredible creatures from climate change and human impact. 🌿💚

Killer whales in Eden (🇦🇺) for ~100 years cooperatively hunted baleen #whales with whalers.
The group's leader, Old Tom(⬇️) washed up dead in 1930. The killer whales soon disappeared and the whaling ceased.
Currently, we are attempting to sequence his genome. Stay tuned 🤞
