On May 9, 2024, the Council for Exceptional Children, Chapter 125, held its highly anticipated Annual Spring Banquet, celebrating the remarkable achievements of students with exceptionalities and recognizing educators who go above and beyond in their dedication to working with these students.
The banquet, attended by numerous students, staff, and family members, was a testament to the inclusive and supportive community fostered within the Greater Essex County District School Board while partnering with the local chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children. Students with diverse abilities were honored for their resilience, progress, and contributions to the school community, showcasing the importance of recognizing and valuing every individual's unique strengths.

ALT Advancing forward in life often is done through collaboration of friendship, trust and loyalty. Its done with a common thread of understanding of a common goal. Forming a partnership of equal measure where determining mutual progress starts with a foundation of camaraderie. Today my friends is Personal Support Worker (PSW) Day which is held every year on May 19 to recognize the invaluable work PSWs do in our lives. For the last five years my friends Nicholas Belleperche and Alan Strilchuck have played a vital role, in my physical, personal and societal success. I wanted to take a moment and say thanks to both and to all the PSW’S who make it their life’s work to ensure individuals with disabilities have full access to maximize the riches the world has to offer. Their a vital part to our societal ecosystem. Happy PSW Appreciation Day Everyone!
