#ValKilmer - A True Friend Died Today..
Most people know Val Kilmer as the great actor from films like Tombstone, Heat, The Doors, and my father’s all-time favorite - Top Gun. But I was fortunate enough to know him as something more: a genuinely kind and humble man.
A few years ago, Val heard through a mutual childhood friend that my father was nearing the end of his life. Unexpectedly, he invited me out to Beverly Hills for his art gallery event. When we arrived, my friend Spencer Marks and I saw Val surrounded by admirers, yet he immediately recognized us - as though he'd been eagerly awaiting our arrival. Quickly excusing himself, he guided us into a private room. Spencer introduced me, "This is Eric - the guy I've been telling you about," and Val warmly replied, "Yes, I've heard about you and your father. Come with me!"
He opened an "Exit Door," leading us into a dark alley between buildings. I couldn't help but smile, feeling as though I’d stepped right into a scene from one of his movies. My mind raced: I hesitated for a moment, but then thought "Who would turn down the offer to run a dark alley with Batman?" Despite his ongoing battle with cancer, Val moved quickly, effortlessly weaving between parked cars and dumpsters until we reached a metal door on an old brick building illuminated by a solitary flickering light.
Val paused, flashed me a reassuring grin, and opened the door. Inside, darkness enveloped us until Val found the lights, revealing an enormous secret art studio filled with canvases, metal sculptures, and vibrant splashes of color everywhere. As I stood in awe, Val hurriedly searched for something specific. Eventually, he returned with a warm smile, "Your father was a military pilot, right? He loved Top Gun?" I nodded, smiling, "Yes, he knows every single word." Val disappeared again, returning moments later holding a beautifully painted metal portrait of his iconic character, Iceman. On it, he had thoughtfully inscribed, "To Cliff, Check Your 6! - Val Kilmer."
As he handed it to me, tears filled my eyes. I've never been an overly emotional man, but at that moment, I understood exactly how much this gift would mean to my father. Val asked sincerely about my dad, and I shared how deeply Top Gun had been part of our family ethos - even joking about wearing out our fathers old VHS copy. We spent a long while in that private studio, listening to Val and Spencer reminisce about their childhood days. That's when I understood the genuineness and sincerity in Val's words. Living in LA for more than a decade, I’ve met countless celebrities, but Val was different - he was truly humble, deeply engaged, and incredibly kind.
One week later, on Father’s Day, my brother and I visited our father. After cooking up a feast and savoring precious family time together, we settled down for our traditional viewing of Top Gun. When the credits rolled, I presented him with Val’s heartfelt gift. My father was utterly speechless. It turned out to be the best gift I ever gave him.
Exactly one year later, on the following Father’s Day, my father passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and grandchildren. In his final moments, only a few treasured items filled his room - family photos, letters from friends, military medals, his Marine sword, an American flag, a Bible - and proudly perched just above his bed, that painting from Val.
Rest in peace, Val Kilmer. I cannot thank you enough for what you did.. You are a good man, and I hope my father is thanking you right now personally.
Sincerely,
Eric Lundgren
Anyone in the USA concerned about VAPES from China? Vapes are illegal in China, heavily subsidized by the CCP and serve as a direct pulmonary drug delivery system to our young adults - Rep. our Fighting Force & Economy. Look @ “FEEDSYNC” Vape below collecting all your DATA! Hmm..
This vape tracks your health information, location, use habits, and asks for access to everything! - Think 8.1 Million Americans + #hezbollahpagers. I’m not saying they’re dangerous today but it only takes (30) days.. I’m not a conspiracy theorist but How Is This Not Regulated?

So many things to say about this, but I remember reporting @thebafflermag on @Microsoft prosecuting e-recycling advocate @CEOmrGreen for distributing their freely available computer-reset software. They'll scrape all our content but imprison you if you touch anything of theirs
ALT Lundgren, a respected environmentalist and entrepreneur, is in prison for trying to distribute software that extends the life of your computer—software that is legally and freely available online—to people who don’t know how to access it. He is in prison for trying to reduce the amount of electronic waste (e-waste) we produce on a regular basis from not knowing how to access that software. When it comes down to it, he is prison because his efforts to keep people from needlessly throwing out their electronics would have cut into the tech industry’s model of profiting from consumer ignorance, repair prevention, and planned obsolescence.

I looked at the manual of the 15k Sol-Ark and Ethos. Looks like the comm cable needs pin 1 and 2 swapped in order to get it talking.

Hey John, NICE Looking System!!! I have the Ethos System as well and I am able to get it talking to the 12kw LuxPower Inverter through RS485. Did you try that? I would imagine it would be the same. 🤘

I DIY’d my first off grid solar power system to get experience with all the pieces, but I had @QualitySolarTX build a bigger one for me recently.
24 kW of panels, 30 kW of inverter, and 75 kWh of battery.
I initially planned on using 15x @bigbatteryinc Ethos batteries with a single battery controller and a single Sol-Ark 15k inverter, but I realized that 15kW of power wasn’t enough – if I was charging a Tesla at max rate, a tankless electric water heater couldn’t run at the same time.
Going to a dual 15k system gives plenty of margin, but it then made the single battery controller the limiting factor. I could have just added a second one, but the asymmetry would have nagged at me, so I wound up with three battery controllers. I might wind up stacking three more Ethos modules into the system.
Unfortunately, a dual SolArk and multiple BigBattery BMC system won’t all talk together properly on CAN bus, so the battery charging is open loop for now.
I think about the off grid property as LARPing a Mars base. 😀

My first system was 12 panels on top of a 40’ shipping container, and in hindsight, I wasted a fair amount of time and money building a mounting frame for them out of Unistrut and clamping it to the container. I could have just left the panels lying on top and they wouldn’t have gone anywhere in anything short of a tornado. A dab of liquid nails on the corners would have made sure.

Back in 9/23/2021, LiCycle Stock (LICY) was $11/Share. On that day, I wrote a white-paper outlining why LiCycle (LICY) Stock would plummet. I published it.. People called me CRAZY! Now its 2/2/24 and LICY is $0.40/Share.. #Vindicated Link Below : )
