As the General Assembly enters a budget year, lawmakers said they will focus on keeping Kentucky’s tax rates competitive, tracking workforce and income trends, and adapting to federal changes.

Copper wire theft has cost Louisville millions and put public safety at risk. In just 10 months, our Critical Infrastructure Task Force has made multiple arrests including 7 thieves charged earlier this month. We’ve also strengthened state penalties and passed a new Metro Council ordinance to crack down even more.
