5 years on from the 2019-20 campaign fires. We remember the exhausting 3 month fire response, the tragic loss of 5 lives, 400 homes and 1.5 million hectares of land burnt.

Recently we worked with @CFA_Updates to burn part of our Naringaningalook Grassland Reserve. Burning like this is a great way to look after the grasslands on the reserve and helps the grassland wildflowers to grow and bloom. Learn more about the reserve: trustfornature.org.au/reserv…

It was great to meet with volunteers from DRA and CFA in Pomonal this week - a community that was significantly impacted by the February 2024 VIC bushfires. I am continually impressed by the dedication and hard work of our volunteers across all the agencies.

As the rain starts to roll in across Victoria, it's important that you stay safe. Last week we responded to over 20 requests for assistance for people trapped by entering floodwater. Never drive through floodwater - it could save your life.
