Ryan Day, seated next to Nick Saban, on Caleb Downs: “When Caleb came to Ohio State... he was a mess. I don’t know what they were doing at Alabama.”

Are potential changes coming to the most scrutinized penalty in all of college football?
“We are going to be having a discussion on targeting.”
Officials are poised to examine the penalty attached to the targeting foul, including disqualifications.

People saying Arthur Smith is a terrible hire for Ohio State. They just had Brian Hartline calling plays who had zero experience. Smith's experience alone and the ability to at minimum sequence plays is an instant upgrade over an OC who never called plays.

Indiana winning the national championship in college football is the most incredible story in North American sports in decades.
It’s not a one-off fluke like the Miracle on Ice. They just went from “always bad” to the dominant No. 1 in the span of two seasons.

Can we take a moment to appreciate this draft class?
Stacking draft classes like this are how dynasties are built.

It’s now the college football offseason.
Get ready to re-learn, "the 2007 season was a MOVIE😱," "2019 LSU was just DIFFERENT," "Tavon Austin was ELECTRIC at WVU" and the same 15 clips on repeat from CFB engagement farming accounts for the next 7 months, BUDDY

Indiana and Miami each possessed the ball four times in the fourth quarter, OSU only had the ball three times in the second half altogether against Miami. Offensive identity needs a complete 180 between now and August

OSU fans' reactions to the last two outside coordinator hires and the actual performance:
OC Chip Kelly 2024:
"He's washed; terrible hire; there goes the offense,"
Result: Improved Scoring from 45th (30.5) to 12th (35.7) and YPP from 25th (6.38) to third (6.95); helped OSU to a national title in 2024.
DC Matt Patricia 2025
"Terrible fit; bad culture as a head coach; what he has done lately?"
Result: Improved Scoring D from 12.9 to 9.3, third-lowest total in the BCS/CFP era, Improved YPP from 4.19 to 4.00
So forgive me if I chuckle at the hand-wringing from Buckeye Nation about guys interviewing for the OC gig.

Here's the problem with last night's overtime interception. On December 7, this was ruled an interception on the field. Replay review overturned it to a catch. NFL V.P. of instant replay Mark Butterworth defended the decision in a pool report. By January 17, the standard changed.

I love how much Ben pisses off Shanahan and Mcvay because he rose through the ranks as a top offensive playcaller on his own without having to shake those guy’s hands or get their coffee
“That handshake and all that mother-f stuff from Ben Johnson did not go over well with the McVay tree … and around the league.”
@PSchrags can’t wait to see Ben Johnson and Sean McVay go at it.

The Buckeyes’ farm team has produced a lot of talent for the big league club over the past few seasons.

"The Miami Hurricanes are the most traditionally 'SEC football team' in all the country. ... This team absolutely dominated from a physicality standpoint, from an athleticism standpoint."
