Sometimes I make a run and I haven’t even looked at him, but the ball is already there. I genuinely don’t know how he does it. People talk about pace, dribbling, finishing, but with Bradley, it’s everything together. He can beat two players, attract three defenders, and still make the perfect decision. You think you’ve seen everything he can do, then the next training session he does something that makes you question whether the rest of us are actually professional footballers. “Playing with him makes my job ridiculously easy. I could be having the worst game of my life, touching the ball like I’ve never played football before, and Bradley will still find a way to put me through on goal. “Sometimes I tell him to slow down because I’m still trying to understand what he just did. He’ll dribble past someone, look up, and play a pass that I swear nobody else on the pitch even imagined. “And the funny thing is, he’s not satisfied. You score one goal, he wants another. You win one game, he’s already thinking about the next one. That mentality is what separates him. “Honestly, if Bradley Barcola told me to make a run through a brick wall, I would probably ask him which side he wants me to come from. I trust that man with my career. “People ask me what makes our partnership work. It’s simple. I make the runs, he finds me, and the defenders spend 90 minutes wondering why they chose football as a profession. “I hope we play together for many years because, with all due respect to every other winger in world football, I don’t think people fully understand what I have beside me. “Give him space and he destroys you. Give him no space and he creates some. Double-mark him and someone else is free. Triple-mark him and I’m probably celebrating. “Bradley Barcola is not just my teammate. He is a cheat code, a personal blessing, and possibly the reason some defenders are considering early retirement.”
