Won’t say no but I always find these moves confusing. Anyone who had a remote interest in the Championship knew Scott & Wharton were both going to make it in the PL yet the top clubs didn’t go after them, now they’ll be paying huge money when they could have got them for nothing
Chelsea increasingly confident of signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in January.
Scott is Chelsea’s top target after Enzo Fernandez’s left for Manchester City on deadline day over the summer.
Bournemouth want £100m+ and Xabi Alonso’s side are already in fresh talks having made multiple bids over the summer.
Liverpool also hold an interest in Scott, but have less urgency to add a midfielder in January. Monaco's Lamine Camara, who Chelsea failed to sign on deadline day, and Roma's Manu Kone are two other targets.🍒

If we don’t beat United next week we have serious problems and really haven’t improved despite a good summer, they are so bad
Serie A is anyone’s. Inter look hit and miss, and largely miss right now. Roma have dropped off and surely Lazio can’t keep it going all season
For all the shit Enzo got, he was exactly what we need in a game like today. No one seemed to understand what it means to play Spurs. Henderson brought in for the experience yet has gone missing today
Today feels the first game in which Alonso has completely got it wrong. Completely missed a focal point and link up top with Welbeck on the bench which meant Rogers was then wasted. How he reacts in the coming weeks will test how good he actually is
