At Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, we’ve been committed to enabling young people to find meaningful opportunities through skill development since 1999. Partnering with Cognizant Foundation has strengthened our shared mission of supporting underserved communities, especially women, to build better lives through skilling and opportunity.
This mission has taken shape in Hoskote, Karnataka, and Mahabubnagar, Telangana, where 540 young women from low-income households have been trained over the past 18 months as General Duty Assistants (GDA) for careers in the healthcare sector. Over the next two years, another 720 women will be trained, with at least 85% expected to secure jobs offering long-term career growth while contributing to India’s healthcare ecosystem.
As Cognizant Foundation India marks 20 years of empowerment, we look forward to continuing our work together to open pathways for communities into meaningful and sustainable livelihoods.

In collaboration with Cognizant Foundation (@CFChangingLives), we launched an HQHCS (High Quality Healthcare Skilling) centre in Hoskote! Deepak Prabhu Matti, Chief Executive Officer (Cognizant Foundation) and Vijayalakshmi Vikram, Chief Operating Officer (Core Technology & Insights, Cognizant) joined us for the launch. Under this partnership, Cognizant Foundation also supports a centre at Mahabubnagar (Telangana).
HQHCS centres were set up to address the shortage of qualified Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs). These centres train young people from disadvantaged communities and offer employment support. The program designed in consultation with industry experts, trains youth who seek employment opportunities in the non-medical healthcare sector. In addition to technical training in our state-of-the-art skill labs, ‘Core Employability Skills’ training is also imparted to make them fully workforce-ready.
4,300+ youth received skill training at HQHCS centres!
