Unflinching devotion to the Fuel revolution and our inevitable technical triumph

Vitalik has unlocked a whole new discussion around VM architecture (finally). No longer does Ethereum seem to be eternally married to the EVM - a belief that has driven our architectural work at @fuel_network.

So why does all this matter. Well, I'd like Ethereum to ensure that if it goes the RISC path, that it also considers the transaction model. The VM, while important, is only a part of the picture. RISC-V doesn't solve how you account for tokens, accounting, going beyond the smart contract paradigm, and building more performant blockchain applications that truly can support all humans and bots for years to come. We design Fuel to do the right thing, not what was popular at the time. It means we signed up for non-stop pain... see our token, but it also means it can be help inform other designs and future decision making in the open source blockchain ecosystem of which we exist. If anyone is considering to build a blockchain in the future, and wants an architecture that considers the deeper nature of blockchain, do consider using the FuelVM/Sway. It's also fucking crazy performant: 150k TPS on an M4, 10ms soft-confs, runs on a toaster -> the largest computers you can throw at it. /endrant /endplug
