We are paying far too much for electricity because wind & solar have to be subsidised & backed up with imported electricity & gas.
Net zero added £140.3bn to Britain's electricity bills in 2002–24: £2,286 for the average household. Modelled, in 2024 prices. Nobody official counts it. Parliament should require a yearly statement, with data anyone can check. richardlyon.substack.com/p/n…

Hope alone will not "cut it" and hope is an emotion not an action but scrap net zero and any potential ban on Petrol and Diesel sales and that will get a good result. Hope alone does nothing
Andy Burnham is grasping the big issues that have been ignored for too long. That is the fundamental change this country needs to get people to hope again.

Andy Burnham has blamed Brexit for the small boats crisis. He said that the arrival of around 213,000 illegal migrants across the Channel was a consequence of Britain leaving the EU. Do you agree or disagree?

a step in the right direction, now scrap any idea of a ban on Petrol and Diesel sales and make so many more "friends"

when oh when will @UKLabour drop the lunacy of net zero and give business and life a chance?
Last week we took the decision to allow Oil and Gas in the North Sea. We will use the tax revenue from that to build an Energy Wealth Fund. That money will invest in renewable energy to build British energy security. Practical energy policy under Labour.

and will drop even more in the cold. If you have to do maybe 700+ miles in a day this is next to useless
Another day in EV la la land... Can anyone help Jasmine? Or has she bought a shite EV and she is now faced with recharging the bloody thing twice a day?

The whole idea of zero emissions has to be scrapped and is complete lunacy to even consider. Scrap all the ideas of zero emissions @UKLabour and scrap all ideas of banning Petrol and Diesel or watch so so many vote away from your party come election time. We need choice not dictatorial policies. Some tasks can NOT be done by electric and are unlikely to be in the near future
"A consultation to “shape [the] pathway to reach zero emission driving by 2035” was opened in August and closes this week. “The UK is reviewing targets to ensure they remain pro-business & grounded in the real world,” claimed the press release. If only." climateskeptic.org/p/the-eus…

at the end of the day market forces will prevail and the EV has very little if any appeal to any serious driver. A chocolate teapot will always be a chocolate teapot how ever you "tart it up in adverts"

The enemy is from "within" in my view and not other countries

Who, I mean who in their right mind wants this government or is the number on benefits that high now they want them for that alone?

net zero should never have been started but has to go now, "lock stock and barrel"
Another disastrous day in UK electricity £30million wasted due to grid stress due to Net Zero Almost every day now…..
